It's not a good idea, because your hamster will struggle so much, that it will injure itself SEVERELY. Save your money, and don't buy a leash!

Neither good or bad but pointless! Lol.
Hamsters arn't intelligent enough to work out how a leash works, and in all fairness, it's slightly cruel.. yannking the poor thing about.
I'd say don't bother, hamsters will never ever get the hang of it. I tried with my rabbit once and that was a complete waste of time.

i've tried it before but personally now i think its bad for the hamster because they like to roam around and if they dont then they will not be able to stay in shape.also it could choke them if you are not around and you have them on the leash so i say its bad for the hamster.

i would get a very small cage, and put the hamster in it and take it for a walk, it would like that so much more than trying to hang the poor thing// plus a cat jumping out of the bushes and eating the little guy//

My friend has used one once, her hamster didn't exactly like it though. If you take her out it's your choice. But if she's usually in a cage or she doesn't run then you might not need to use one...Good Luck.

They make a plastic ball you can put them in and they just run around the house/yard. It like those exercise wheels only they actually go somewhere.
