I usually just dip my hand in. If it's too hot for me, then I just add more cold water... too cold, more hot water. If you're running a bath for someone else, it's best to make sure it's OK for them though... when I was a child, I used to get into really hot baths as my mum used to run them. Not all people have asbestos skin, lol.

Also, I usually alternate hands too if I'm keeping an eye on the water level. The main reason is that the hand gets adjusted to the temperature of the bath's water.

!!!!!!! anyways, well, I mostly take showers but this is what I do;
maybe as you're filling out the tub, keep dipping in your fingers or put in your toes & then see if you need to add more hot or cold water.
Keep doing this until bath is 2/3 full to the amount of water you want & then try to put your foot in the bath, if the water is too hot add more cold & vice versa, UNLESS the water is just right, in which case add BOTH hot & cold water.
Then before getting
in the water, dip your toes & if not dangerous, put ur feet in & then slowly try to immerse the whole body in the water carefully....
PS.if you make the water too lukewarm, it'll get cold quickly

You just stick your hand in and feel if it is too hot..

I just step in and let my feet get used to the water..then i kinda kneel a little and slowly sit down...it works..try it
