This is a tough one. Originally I would have said no to those like Hitler, Osama Bin Laden, or just a rapist that de-flowered your child.

But, I think that while the person is alive we should be praying for their immortal soul. Like Paul they could have a conversion and do great good, but even if all they did was die sin free that would indeed be a miracle.

While it may seem to be a paradox I still believe in the death penalty. There will be those that refuse to repent plenty of time should be given so they can "make peace" and then remove them. Those that truly repent I would not mind seeing them released, but if it is a ploy I have no problem with them being deleted.

Yes it is. Moreover God will not reply to any such request again. However, if you are a born again Christian it is quite certain that God will defend you against any ill that comes your way, and the good thing is that you dont even have to ask for His help, you just have to be faithful and do as He commands.

Ber advised that if you are praying for harm to come to someone, then you are not praying to God but rather to satan. If this is the case, it will surely come back to in multiple fold, because what ever you plant, you will reap.

If you sow good seeds then good will come back to you and if it does not come back to you in person, it will visit your children and all those who will be you descendants.

Notice carefully that when you plant a seed it does not only yield one fruit but many. So it is with your works, whether good or bad the returns will be multiplied.

Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Proverbs 22:8
He who sows wickedness reaps trouble, and the rod of his fury will be destroyed.

These are just a few scriptures that shows the basic priciples of harvest. (figurative and literal harvest)
Job 4:7
As I have observed, those who plow evil and those who sow trouble reap it.

Take care

Prayer does not make things happen. You can pray for someone to die. But that does not mean that your prayer will be answered. Imagine how many things we could achieve in this world if prayer worked. We could pray for no one to be ill. We could pray for there to be no war. We could pray for loved ones not to die.

You could wish someone were dead. But it is not a sin. It is just wickedness of your heart if you wished someone to die if they are your enemy. If you see someone suffering badly, you may wish they die so that they do not suffer any more. Sin does not come into it at all.

i have worked hospice in the past......... I have prayed for God to ease suffering and for help with closure.
Sometimes people hold on because they are afraid or have unfinished business. I don't like to see anyone suffer.
I have prayed for peace and rest and if at all possible please take them home to be with you and ease their pain and wipe away their tears as they step off into eternity.........
It depends on the motive of your heart vengeance is mine said the lord but sometimes i would like to be the instrument of judgment and executioner.......lol

I hope not, because I've done it twice in the last five years. Both were in excruciating pain and I didn't want them to have to suffer.

Not if the one you pray for is Christian, because it will only insure they get to heaven that much sooner if they do die, but will also rid the earth of them for the rest of us that much sooner.
