By title, I am assuming that what you are asking is what does he answer when the officiant asks Who gives this bride in Marriage? He can answer from the heart. There is really no set answer to this question. He is her brother. He can simply say I do, or Our Mother and I or Our Mother and family. Many brides are having this omitted from their wedding entirely, he can simply walk her down the aisle and then take his seat in the front row.

I too had my brother walk me down the aisle when i got married 9yrs ago, due to the fact that my Father died the year before my Wedding.
He didnt have a title but was known as "person who gives her hand in marriage" by the vicar and was also one of the witnesses to sign the marriage certificate.
Hope this helps and Good Luck to your daughter for her big day, don't forget the tissues!!!!.

her brother. I had never given it a second thought and happen to consider myself knowledgeable in the subject. But this person doesn't have a title. It's just her brother or we can say "Brother of the Bride."

for my section, if dad has been interior the image, then he ought to be doing the jogging with your sister. If he's been an absentee father, then i think of your brother would be an extraordinary replace. Your sister is merely attempting to get alongside with honestly everyone. i'm sorry your dad's emotions are going to be injury, yet he style of delivered that on himself. so some distance as mom's new husband, ignore him. he's fortunate he's even invited. BTW, who's procuring the marriage? If it is your mom, then she does have the main appropriate to voice her comments. i know it is your sister's wedding ceremony, besides the shown fact that it quite is time to strengthen up (which it variety of sounds like she is attempting to do the main appropriate factor) and understand that no longer each and everything will bypass her way. If dad is assisting to pay for the marriage, that's seems slightly hypocritical taking his funds then blowing him off. all of it comes right down to is this. Your sister is grown up adequate to get married. She sounds like she's doing her appropriate. enable her make the recommendations. Your turn will come.

Brother.
When the officiant asks "who gives this woman ..." he can say "her family" or that part can be omitted from the ceremony.
For the newspaper announcement you can say "the bride was walked down the aisle by her brother."

some people would call it the "escort of the bride", but i personally try to stay away from "escort" when we're talking wedding.
"brother of the bride" would work just fine as far as programs go, but there is no official title for the person who gives the bride away.

I would suggest for the program to have it read:
Brides escort - John Smith, brother of the bride
In a wedding program you can have either their title or their relationship to the bride/groom or both. It just depends on how you want to set your program up.
Good luck!
