My sister is 21 and her husband is 28. They told me they gave their 7 year old a pot brownie and it made him sleep all day. I told them that was wrong and they laughed at me. Is there something I should do?

"Is there something I should do?" WAKE UP! You know darn well that you need to call the authorities and report this. What they have done to this child is attrocious, you call and report this immediately.

If they gave the child a pot brownie, that means they keep pot in the home, and since they are ignorant enough to feed it to the child, they are probably smoking it around him as well. If you don't help get that child out of that home he is going to be a pot burnout by the time he's 18.

Call Child Protective Services ASAP and have their 7 year old taken away and put in a safe drug-free home. Call the police on the parents ASAP as well. Hopefully the parents will go to jail for drugging their son. Giving a child a controlled substance or drug is illegal and is known as child abuse. Sounds like your sister and her husband are Bad To The Bone.

I know it may sound wrong to you but I thnk you should call child services this is not an enviorment a child should be raised in you might also want to ask if you could foster or adopt this child with parental visitation rights or something please I know you love you sister but if this happens again instead of sleeping all day this child could result in sleeping forever if you kno what I mean best of luck

Honey, you need to call Child Protective Services, and if your mother and father are trusted adults, tell them what is happening also.
C.P.S. has a different phone number and website depending on which state you live in, check the phonebook or google search "Department of Children & Family Services" WITH the name of your state after the word 'Services' to get a list of numbers in your area.
this is very sad, good luck..

Call the police or child services. Next they will be laughing when they are hight and their son is laying next to them dead with a drug overdose. They don't deserve a child. If they don't want him tell them to give him up for adoption, there are enough childless families who would love him and raise him with maturity, which they do not have.

Yes. You should call Child Protective Services. That baby is obviously being abused.

Call Child Protective Services or your local law enforcement agency.

If you know that this type of behavior is going on and you do not report it, you are also legally abusing and neglecting that child as well.

You can call CPS, but I doubt they'll do anything other than make a home visit. Are you the only person they told? If so, they'll know it's you who called. If you're okay with that, then by all means do it. Sounds like your sister is a total loser.

This is a serious issue and very harmful to the child involved. Speak to child protective services or have someone else do it for you. It really does have to be stopped.
