First ... ajust the VENTS, instead of going to the defroster , it will come thru the vents there are either little flaps on the vets themselves , or the lever at the heater its self ... don't put the lever all the way to defrost... 2nd driving an automatic and having "hard shifts" it COULD be a problem with the automatic tramsmission , ( check automatic transmission fluid , if that gets low well it results in "hard shifts)... hope the guy "clered your Codes ... and it doesent sound like a vaccume problem, it sounds like a trans mission problem , and did you know? running your AC (espically in an automatic ) it KILLS your gas milage ? vcan't tell ya exactly what your problem is , but the ABS light on means you better get your breaks looked at and cler the code , light ogoes off ... to "clear codes< without a dinstics reader ... disconnect battery , light SHOULD go out , then reconnect, start car , if light comes on again it means its TELLING you something WRONG, and if its your breaks , well sooner or later with or without breaks you stop , badly of course , but you DO eventually stop.... another thing to check is you anit freeze level or it MIGHT be the refrigent coolant) in your ac? can't tell with out looking at it

Is the switch set to front vents? If not, turn the knob to the picture of an arrow pointing to the person's face.
