You really shouldn't eat ice cream or any other dairy product until you've been able to keep other foods and liquids down for at least 24 hours. Start with something much milder, like some rice with just a tiny bit of sugar, or some applesauce and crackers. Hope you're feeling better soon!

It sounds to me such as you're having a flareup of your colitis triggered by what your toddlers had. You did not say no count if it replaced into Crohn's colitis or Ulcerative colitis. the two way, while you're having a flareup, sometimes the only treatment is to get some meds, in all probability some antibiotics, and - as undesirable because it sounds, medical care with steroids. sometimes it incredibly is controlled by a steroid enema (Rowasa enema). while you're searching for a organic treatment some literature has supported fish oil pills, in spite of the shown fact that that's particularly for keeping a healthful stable state, and not frequently for controlling the severe indicators you report. there's a average probability that that's purely a foul trojan horse that desires clearing and not pertaining to on your colitis yet do not take that probability. even in spite of the shown fact which you have not have been given medical insurance, I especially propose you notice a doctor ASAP. no count if it incredibly is colitis, with out perfect medical care it could desire to progression into some incredibly undesirable stuff which will bring about loss of life (poisonous megacolon, super bleeding, etc.). Regardless, in case you keep going 15 - 20 situations according to day you will lose too plenty fluid and electrolytes which will additionally be existence threatening. interior the period in-between, swap to 0.5 potential gatorade fairly of seven-Up.

No dairy and no fatty foods for awhile. Try some saltine crackers and a bit of gingerale. If that settles well, some chicken soup.

Gatorade is also really good to have after being sick. It helps rehydrate you.

You might want to wait a few more hours... Try keeping some liquids down FIRST (that way if it "comes back up"- it'll be easier to deal with). Hope you feel better. :)

The dairy might not be good, but if it makes you feel better, go for it.

I personally opt for all fruit bars/popsicles. It makes your throat feel better and it hydrates you plus boosting your vitamine c.
