not allow for Christians to explain the truth about their misconceptions to them?

I don't mean to sound self righteous. I certainly do not have all or even many of the answers however, sometimes, I would love to be able to give my answer to some one, who is an answerer and who asks a question and then does not leave a way to reply.

I don't know all the reasons why some people allow e-mail and others don't. I would suggest that you first try to build up your personal contact list and this will allow you to build some meaningful relations with a few who might be open to dialog on religious issues.

I imagine that there are as many reasons for people to turn off their email as there are people who do it.

I don't EVER think that I am so important to others that they have ME in mind when they turn off their email contact. I don't even think that they have Pagans in mind. I think they just don't want email.

But since you brought it up, why is it that so many Christians do not allow email. Why do they not allow for Pagans and Hindus and Muslims and atheists to explain the truth about their misconceptions to them?

I am an unbeliever, and you can email me all you want. I think most unbelievers do not want hate mail coming from frustrated evangelists, and that's why they do not allow it.

I, on the other hand, collect these wonderful examples of christian love. Someday, I will publish a book on it.

Bring it on.

I'm a Pagan and I give everyone my email and my website. You mistreat that privilege and I can not only block you here, but I can block you through my website! I don't mind discussing theology with others, but if you demand that your religion is better than mine, then I would probably block you also.

You know, and I don't mean to sound offensive, but it's pretty arrogant of you to assume that I haven't given thought to and researched these issues before coming to the conclusion that there is no God and that I have been waiting for you to come along and show me "the error of my ways". Someone might even accuse you of being self righteous.

RESPONSE - If you want to tell someone your point of view then you should be willing to listen to theirs.

Let me explain: Father K, a much loved and respected Christian on R&S once said that the only time he got hate-mail it was from other Christians and not from atheists.

Funny that.

By the way, I don't block anybody.

Mine's open.
And you invited to explain your position.

The last two people from your side of the fence I thought it might be worthwhile to e-mail didn't have a contact option open.
Hiding questions and answers even seems to be coming into fashion.

There are none so blind than those who will not see?

No reason to worry. It isn't the first time.

Acts 4:23On their release, Peter and John went back to their own people and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said to them. 24When they heard this, they raised their voices together in prayer to God. "Sovereign Lord," they said, "you made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and everything in them. 25You spoke by the Holy Spirit through the mouth of your servant, our father David:
" 'Why do the nations rage
and the peoples plot in vain?
26The kings of the earth take their stand
and the rulers gather together
against the Lord
and against his Anointed One.[c]'[d] 27Indeed Herod and Pontius Pilate met together with the Gentiles and the people[e] of Israel in this city to conspire against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed. 28They did what your power and will had decided beforehand should happen. 29Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness. 30Stretch out your hand to heal and perform miraculous signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus."
31After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.

Because they have already heard your nonsensical, fantasies, fairy tales and superstitions. They no more want to hear it again than they care to read Mother Goose again. I mean really, Shrek is so much more interesting if one has a life.
