Take time out to recover. Feeling numb is the way your body copes with it all. Surround yourself with positive people that will not fill your head with bitterness and resentment. Be good to yourself, indulge in a neck and back massage, have a girls night with some good dvds, pizza or Chinese take away and some chocolates! You will get through this and be all the stronger for it!

Hi!

The best way to get over a break-up is not to dwell on what caused the breakdown in your relationship. You're feeling very emotionally fragile at the moment, so you need something to take your mind off it.

Don't be tempted to jump into another relationship straight away because it is very rare that love on the rebound works. Instead, you should concentrate on building up your shattered self-esteem. Why not hit the shops for a little retail therapy? Buy yourself a new outfit. Change your look - a new hairstyle, treat yourself to a pampering session. Go on a girlie night out - strictly no guys - and have some fun!

Give yourself time because time is the greatest healer of all for a broken heart. Good luck!

Everyone is different and deals with things differently. the way . First you have to accept the person meant something to you. It's okay to be sad, but you don't want to be this way forever. if you need to cry, Cry!!! get all that stuff out so you can start new. Start up a new hobby, read a book or keep yourself busy, it will pass soon. if you are still depressed after a month or so you may want to consider seeing a therapist. Good luck, there are plenty of fish in the sea!!

You actually have to put some effort into getting over a relationship - you can't just sit on the sofa listening to soppy music and eating chocolate. Getting Over Someone is a strategy and involves being determined, busy, and a huge amount of pretence - pretending to enjoy the company of your gross little brother and that sort of thing. But if he is keeping your mind off the ex, then its worth it! Its only people who like being miserable who stay that way. I only ever gave myself 3 weeks to pull myself together and get on with life. Sometimes the pain lasts longer but I never let it interfere with my plans! Make the decision to Get Over It and then do the job.

Sorry to tell you this, but there is no best way! It really depends on you and what you want! If your totally sure its over then perhaps you should face up to it and get on with your life! Im sure that a person like you is very likely to find someone that will make all of these percieved problems disappear! You will be ok!

i don't know the details but when i split from my partner of 3 years i was heartbroken, as i'm sure you are. I felt like this for ages until i went out with friends one night and got chatted up a couple of times. It was a real ego boost and made me realise that i could move on. I swapped numbers with one of the guys and although nothing serious came of it, the texting and calls we had helped me to get my ex out of my head. From then on, i never looked back!

You WILL find out it is not the end of the world, and even may be a good thing if you put it down to experience.
I don't know your details, but if it was going to happen, better now than years later. Learn Learn Learn.

Get out and meet others. You may find out that your EX was not as good as you first thought.

Good luck !!!!

I don't think anyone can really give you the answer to this one honey.

Things like this take time. Look for something that will take your interest and your time. A course maybe. Look for something that you would enjoy doing. Keep your friends around you as you are going to need them at a time like this.
