I'm sorry you are having a hard time, but God never promised that life would be perfect or fair. Look to Job. Do not lose your faith. I believe there is a reason for what you are going through and things will get better. Your rewards will be much greater than a car and I believe you know that. My family went through a tough time too. We really had to rely on friends and family and I am thankful they were able to help and that we made it through. I wish you and your family all the best. Good luck.

Chad we don't have all the answers...but God has.
He knows the situation your in and maybe asking Him if you haven't already would be the best place to start. I was asked to leave the house i live in a few yrs ago and when i first heard the news i went straight to my bible praying all the way..
God graciously gave a rhema word from Isa 43...
"When i act who can reverse it" i knew i wasn't leaving this house, i didn't know how He was going to do it but i knew for sure He was. I asked God for this house and it came my way **miraculously** (too long to go into) so there was no way anyone was putting me out. I know how difficult it is especially for men as they are the providers and protectors and just want to make all things good and right for their family. Have you actually looked for God in ur circumstances? He's always there..you have some good answers here and i hope the support you desperately need..it could be a test or a period of maturing..You say ur not reaping any benefits, yet you have served God faithfully..this is often the way it goes..often the bigger the calling the bigger the trials. Chad, ask Him..just ask Him, and go about ur business and the answer will come. Whatever is going on watch and see how The Lord God moves in ur situation, because He will..draw close to Him to find the answers to life's problems.....
Praying for you...

1. No one, other than Christ Himself, is faithful to God in every way. "None is righteous, no not one."
2. Being a person of faith does not necessarily translate into financial success or security. Faith results in forgiveness and salvation. That is the only promise we are given. In the end, it is the only one that counts.
3. You have left out some details. Why are you in this fix? Did you buy beyond your means? Did someone lose a job? Have you maxed out your credit because you have a hard time saying "no" to yourself? I don't know the circumstances. But a good rule of thumb in life is this. Spend 80% of your nontaxable income on living expenses, put 10% in savings, and offer 10% to the Lord. If you tell me that you need more than 80% to live on, than you either need to cut back on your spending or get a greater income.
I hope you find a way out of your dilemma. But whatever you do, do not blame God. Always, always be thankful.

Romans 8:28: And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
All I can say is to trust God. Joseph was sold into slavery and thrown into prison before God blessed him as the second most powerful man in Egypt. Moses fled from Egypt and wandered in the wilderness. Moses was a friend of God. Paul was thrown in prison many times.
If you are saved by your faith in Jesus Christ, you will receive His gift in Heaven. There is no promise of a mansion on earth, there is a promise of a mansion in Heaven.
It is always darkest just before the dawn. If you are a member of a church, talk to the pastor. People get down on their luck all the time. This is a free country with great opportunities. Seek help now and resolve to pull yourselves out of the current situation.
When you are back on your feet, don't forget to help others and give God the praise.
God Bless You

Just because we are Christians doesn't mean problems won't come our way
The devil is trying to get a foothold on us at all times
Have you read Job
He lost everything His family His home, his money and he had a dicease He never lost his faith never. He is someone we can all look to for a great example of how God wants us to be
Do not build your treasures on earth. Maybe all your material goods would hold you back from fulfilling the plan God has for you Maybe you can look at this like a clean start. Pray and The Lord will lead you. Don't try top make your own plan I know from experience that anything I try to control never has the great outcome that turning my problems and worries over to God brings
I will pray for you and your family

I'm just an anyone, not what you would call a Christian.
Since I don't meet your criteria, I am not allowed to answer this most troubling question. I do hope that you will find someone that you call a Christian that would provide an answer that would have been comparable to the answer that I could have provided.
May Gods Grace be with you in these troubled times.

first realize your time on earth is like a shooting star.
look at what is working - not at what is not working - realize there are lessons on earth to be learned - you have what you have - do you appreicate what you have - the answer is the test to your faith.
also realize you never - i mean never know what is around the corner - i have been thru hell and back in this life time - just keep on moving.
hold on tight to those things which are not physical and are physical - you have a spouse and a child - be thank ful for those and that that you have.
and god bless you i hope things will get easier - realize there are many that have lost much - we are not talking fair - we are talking fact.

Hi Chad
I know exactly what you are going through. We, too are Christians, and have lost lots of material things, including our house, a new truck, my husband has lost a couple of jobs. We are now renting a house, our bills are stacked up,and we are always scraping to make ends meet. Oh, and we have two children. However, I have found a blessing in all of this. God took us out of a terrible bondage we were in with material things. We need to remember that God is the owner of everything we have. If He chooses for us not to have them, there must be a reason. I have found peace in knowing that God is in control of our lives, and not just us. We are not good stewards of His things. We need to learn to be. Sometimes when God speaks, we don't listen to Him. We are too busy with our lives, and what we have, to notice. Sometimes it takes something like this to wake us up. Maybe He is getting us ready for something we have no clue is coming in our lives. I praise Him in good times and in bad. In times of trouble, I praise Him. He puts us through the fire, so we may become pure and spotless. When He returns, isn't that what you want to be? Material things of this life are of this world. Jesus tells us to be in the world, not of it. Go to Him in prayer, and ask Him if there is anything you need to be doing in your lives that you are not doing now. I know we have grown closer to Him through all of our tribulations. Afterall, didn't He say we'd have them? Being angry with God is not the answer. We are not God. He knows what is best for us, whether we think it is or not. I am so glad for all the times God did not answer my prayers with a yes! In hindsight, it was the best thing. We are human, and we make mistakes. God doesn't. Humble yourself before your God, and if there is any sin in your life, ask forgiveness. I'll be praying for you and your family, brother, but I will pray for His will, not yours. That is what you need to do, also. God Bless.
Maybe God is trying to show you what your real blessings are. Your family? Your health? Your friends? And especially Him. He may be making it so that the only way to turn is to Him. I'm saying this from experience. Keep your sight on things of heaven, and not of this world. "Seek first the Kingdom of Heaven, and all else will follow."

God helps them that help themselves. If you work, you eat. We are supposed to share any excess that we have - if you have two coats and your neighbor who is in need of one has none, give him a coat. But also lay not up treasures as it will be as easy as a camel going through the eye of a needle for a rich man to get into heaven. Jesus had no home, he had few possessions and he stayed with friends when traveling.
Not knowing your circumstance I can't comment any further.

I don't think God is there to do the work for you or to provide miracles. He's there to help you make the right choices in life and to give you strength to carry on in spite of tragedy. The Bible never tells us that life is fair. It tells us to be fair and honest in our dealings. The reward is in the doing itself.
Sorry, I'm not Christian. I hope you don't think this is a silly response.
