Is there any reason why this would keep happening? The chain can't be too long. I had to stop and put it back on track like 7 times. Time for a new bicycle or can this bike be saved?

It can certainly be saved and is happening because of bad adjustment. If this is a single speed bike, the chain is coming off because there is too much slack in the chain allowing it to come off under pressure. To fix this you would have to tighten the chainline by moving the rear wheel backward in the dropout.
If this is a multi-speed bike, it is happening because the derailleurs (usually the front) are not probably limiting the travel of the chain. A bike store can fix this in a matter of seconds.

Another cause on a single speed can be the rear wheel is ******, not lining up with the chain ring. Aligning the rear wheel would fix it if this is the problem.
Check for bent teeth too. Sprockets with bent teeth will through a chain

Your bikes a dead loss, I'm afraid.
Once the chain falls off, its time to replace the bike!...OR...
If you can pinch more than 5mm from the front of the large chainring, then get a new chain!
If you get it fitted at a bike shop they can give you further advice or rectify any underlying problems. Simple innit?

A new chain will only cost about $25 plus installation at any bike shop.

there must be a link on the chain that facilitates you to get rid of it devoid of taking the tires off, it could have 2 products one section will slide back it holds the interior link in place.
