I am translating a document written in German into English, but as it is to be published in England, my American terminology will not do. Could you please supply the British terms for any or all of the follow motoris (motorcycle) or tourism terms? Some may even be correct in both formats of English, but I need to make sure. Thank you so very much!!!
1. to be on the go
2. to be underway
3. motorcycle crash bars
4. a side trip
5. pedestrians
6. air conditioning
7. air terminal at airport
8. baggage carousel
9. luggage or baggage cart
10. conveyance company - a company which would ship large object like POV and motorcycles to overseas locations

13. Pension - Continential European term for family-owned small hotel also serving at least breakfast and sometimes other meals
14. clutch (on motorcycle)
15. military term for "present arms" position
16. liability insurance policy

18. potholes - deep holes in road pavement

1. By "to be on the go" here I mean "to be travelling"
4. By "side trip" I mean a short trip taken while at a major destination. For example, many tourists take a side trip to the Napa Valley Wine Country some time during their longer visit to San Francisco.

All the same except :-
1.to be on the move
2. if you mean start the journey , it's get underway
4.optional tour (or trip) If it's to be paid for, and not an 'inclusive tour'
7. usually just 'airport'. main building known as terminal building, or in larger airports terminal1, terminal 2 etc.
9. baggage or luggage trolley
10.shipping company
11.unsure what you mean by this. At Ports and Airports normally customs officers
12. normally shortened to just B&B
13. pension. european equivalent of B&B

1. to be on the go - Please state in what context you wish to use this?
2. to be underway - Commenced the journey
3. motorcycle crash bars - We don't often have them fitted here, but the same description is ok.
4. a side trip - Do you mean Side Strip? If so this is referred to as the Hard Shoulder of the motorway (Highway to you)
5. pedestrians - Same word
6. air conditioning - Same words
7. air terminal at airport - Same words
8. baggage carousel - 'luggage conveyor'
9. luggage or baggage cart - Luggage trolley
10. conveyance company - a company which would ship large object like POV and motorcycles to overseas locations - Shipping company
11. customs agents - Customs Officers
12. Bed & Breadfast Inn - Same words or 'Guest House' or 'Travel Lodge'
13. Pension - Continential European term for family-owned small hotel also serving at least breakfast and sometimes other meals - Guest House
14. clutch (on motorcycle) - Same words
15. military term for "present arms" position - Same words
16. liability insurance policy - Car Insurance policy or Travel Insurance policy

Only things which stick out is "Side trip" whats that? Also..Pension....I know what that is but not everyone will...call it Family Run Hotel
