This has become a really frustrating thing for me.
I see people only teaching hellfire and damnation instead of extolling the virtues of living a Christ-centered lifestyle.
Yesterday, a man who identifies himself as a pastor went into a thread mourning the loss of an LDS church leader to let them know that the leader is now in Hell.
Yeah, Hell and Heaven are real. We know this. Kicking people who look to a Christian for advice is a poor way to win their hearts.
Let Galatians 5:22-23 be a reminder of how Christians are to present themselves:
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. "

A man made god is man creating a god in his own immage. Like Jesus said if the blind lead the blind they will both fall into a ditch. If you are listening to these false teachings stop, you don't want to be caught dead without Jesus. Jesus is the way the truth & the light & noone goes to the Father but by Him.

If God is ficticious, then Jesus was a madman whose ramblings must be discredited. Perhaps if you were to read your bible more closely, both old and new testaments, you would see the truth in Jesus' quote, "I come not to nullify the laws, but to fullfill them."

Isn't it interesting that it is usually the atheist and other non-believers on R&S who continually post about how "evil" God is in the OT (yet never give examples as there are none) and the Christian continually point to the examples of love.
If you are against the idea of an "evil" God, become a Christian and all your issues are resolved.

What are you trying to say, Toby?
Why has the teaching of Jesus, and a loving God become second place to the teachings,? Is that it?
Just because. That's why.

Persecution and opposition! 1 John chapter 1.
Christian -a child of God. Jesus Said " the one who is called by my name."
Why,because of persons such as you?
We are God's elect..If one offends it is not against us. "That one offends God." We do not fight in the name of God. We pray in the name of Jesus. "God fights all of our battles."

People's eyes are blinded to the truth.
The truth will set people free, not bind them up.
If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me says the Lord. Jeremiah chapter 29 v 12.

Liberalism!
It's this "tolerance" thing the believe!!
When Jesus Himself never sinned, and said, 'Go, and sin no more.'
His own words explains how tolerant He was!
He wasn't "tolerant"!!
Yet, He still loved us so much that He died for us!!!

Or we simply deny intermittent aspects of Christianity, while over-emphasizing other parts in order to justify our own actions, or, in your case, deny its darker aspects.
