i'm surpirsed u took the time
i'd rather have a homemade card anytime, mainly because it shows the other person really is grateful because you took the time to create one
ur sister is being too....strict? it's fine to deliver it, and show her this site if she still won't deliver it

Acceptable!
It shows that you have put thought into giving her the card instead of just picking one up at a store. The fact you actually went to the trouble to buy things to make the card and put photos on of your son using the items she gave you is extra special and I'm sure she would appreciate the card all the more knowing that the items are in a new loving home.

The card you made showed that a lot of thought and time went into it. I cannot believe your sister thought it was tacky. Your sister is not being very nice. Put the card in the mail and send it. The lady will be thrilled.

More than acceptable - you put a lot of effort in that card and your sister should be proud to deliver it. If she doesn't, please get the card back and find another way to deliver it.
I am sure she won't think it's tacky at all and will be so pleased. Congratulations on your son.!!

I think it's acceptable, and not only that, very creative. A hand-made card is even more special, in my opinion, than a store bought card. You went extra lengths to make it special and to show your appreciation. It's not like you got a piece of printer paper and scribbled Thank you on it in crayon or something. And, it's definitely coming from YOU. You made the card, you wrote the words. I think it's sweet!

I think a homemade card is much better than acceptable. it shows that you genuinely cared enough to take the time to make soemthing meaningful and special. Congratulations on your baby's arrival and on your new home. I am glad that you got a little help. I am sure she was thrilled to give it... just like I am sure she will be thrilled at your card.

i just celebrated my 7 year wedding annivesary, and could not find a card that i liked for my wife. so, i went to the art supply store and the thoughtful sales rep. helped me pick out some nice materials and even helped me to put together a nice card for our celebration. my wife loved it. anyone can buy a card, but the personal touches of a handmade one are far superior. if sis won't deliver it . do it yourself when youare able to.

ofcourse its accetable, its very sweet and it means more than a baught card. because the things in the card are coming from you, not hallmark. you're sister should infact be embarrassed but not because of your card- because of her attitude. if she still wont deliver it- you could try getting her address and mailing it. not tacky at all very nice. <3

BETTER then a card thats bought. it takes more time and effort to make a card, and unless you think your time is only worth a couple dollars an hour, it probably costs more in that sense.

Ask your sister for her friend's address and mail it then. Your sister cannot tell you what you may or may not give as a thank you to the lady. I am sure she would appreciate your thoughtfulness and courtesy.
