and you answer, "it says so in the Bible". Isn't that circular reasoning?

Well...the way you asked it...NO...it is not circular logic.

You asked "where does it say..."
And, indeed, "it says it in the Bible..."

That is not circular. It is simply a direct answer to your question.

Now then, if you ask, "What is the PROOF that the Bible is the inspired word of God..."

And someone responds, "It says so in the Bible!"

Then, yes...this is circular "proof".
...but it doesn't mean it is false!

When it comes to "proof" of the existance of God, Jesus being God incarnate, Jesus rising from the dead, and the Bible being the inspired word of God...in the end, it is all a matter of faith. i.e. it cannot be "proven" 100%. There is sufficient evidence so as to remove any reasonable doubt for all of these, however. But in the end, none is 100%, and it is a matter of faith.

Christians see Jesus as the God you are speaking of. It is written of what he had to say. This is not circular reasoning on my part. The writers were the ones who knew of the situation and they wrote what they lived. I only wish he had written the new testament. would you accept when God himself wrote the ten commandments on slabs of stone! If you are looking for the words as you have written in your question they aren't there. Or did you just want to hear a Yes to the answer as being circular reasoning. I say "yes".
