You won't discover your life's meaning by looking within yourself, because you were created by God, for His purpose, not your own. You discover your identity and purpose through a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Ponder this:
If there were no God, and everything was a result of random chance, there would be no purpose to your life. It all starts with God, who created you.

You and I and a few other people relate to this statement not everyone.

It will be their own choice to beleive in God or not. Trust me they have plenty of people tell them God's Word.
Most don't care to ponder if they have a purpose for God's sake or not.

assertion n.
2. Something declared or stated positively, often with no support or attempt at proof.

1. It is asserted that human life has a meaning, an end, purpose, or significance..
2. It is then asserted that purpose is evidence of a purpose-giver and that humans cannot give their own lives meaning, or purpose.

Ponder this:
If human life has no meaning, end, purpose, or significance other than that which humans give it, there is no reason to believe that a supernatural being regarded as the creator exists to do so.

NOTE: Atheists are not inclined to believe that human life with whatever meaning, end, purpose, or significance it may appear to have, is the result of something called "random chance". Most of us believe that all life is the result of a process called "natural selection".

I understand what you are saying and I have God or God has me...that's neither here nor there. I believe we all need to search and seek God in order to know what our God given purpose is, but to say all those who do not know God cannot find meaning in their life is beyond me.
I say this because there are many countries here on Earth and not all people are allowed to seek God, it isn't because they have turned away from God, it is just that they have no idea that God exists.
Therefore, I do not believe that the only way to get to God is through Jesus. I believe that there are others who will go to God who walk this Earth and have no clue about Jesus or the work he did here. I believe it is simpler than that. I believe all souls were creatd by God at the same time and if you turned from Him at that time you are a dark entity. If you were undecided you are a grey entity which can go either way, and those who went with God and believed in Him are white entities...and white entities cannot turn to dark and dark entities will never see the light, and the grey...well they need to believe in God before they ever get to the light or they decide that they do not believe and immediately turn to a dark entity and will not be allowed to the light of God. I believe we are all God's children, that we all came from Heaven and whatever our spirit self decided before we came to earth is who we truly are.
Many disagree, and I am okay with that, I am just so happy that so many are seeking something higher and through that they can find deep spiritual meaning in their life.
God Bless!

That is your opinion.

Mine is that no one in this world is born with a purpose and we create it ourselves through our own beliefs and actions. The purpose of no two lives are exactly alike because no two human beings are exactly alike (even identical twins have some small differences). I and I alone make the purpose of my life and it has had nothing to do with any deity or any religion. I think it is sad if you must think that that the only way a person can have a meaningful, purposeful life is by letting a deity decide it for you.

Yes, the very definition of purpose requires a Creator because the full question is "what purpose were we meant to accomplish here on earth?".

We cannot invent a real purpose for why we are here, we can only invent some meaningless feelings.

I think God put our need for purpose into our human nature in order to point us to seek Him.

"If there were no God, and everything was a result of random chance, there would be no purpose to your life."

What nonsense, I have endless purpose to my life, and when I am dead, I don't know what is in store for me, fertilizer, soul-travelling, reincarnation, I don't claim to know, because I am a truthful person.

But the important thing is, I revel in life, and love it, and every day I am thankful for what I have, and what I can give my family, my friends, my companions....the world. The magnificient microcosms and macrocosms that we all fit into a part of, the cosmic whole, the wonder of life, the daily opportunity to learn more and more, and become more or less involved...to explore the mind, the spirit, the body....nature.... I have purpose, do you hear me?

And on that note, your proclamation that you *without* your daddy-figure, would have no purpose, is VERY telling.

To the mirror room for you.

DID YOU KNOW, that your outlook positively dictates that you *have* to believe in a daddy-figure-in-the-sky with Plans For You....

.... because otherwise you'd have 'no purpose to your life'???

True, by your own admission.

My condolences for your continued delusion and blanket-sucking. But you at least earned my irritation for your arrogant, assumptive, high-horsing and preacherly pap-talk.

AHOY!

Yes, before I knew God, I wondered what the purpose of my life was. No matter what, I always felt empty and pointless.

When I found God, my heart that was empty was then filled and I instantly knew my purpose. Nothing of this earth can replace God.

I strongly agree with you. I accepted Christ as my personal Savior over twenty years ago. This is the best decision I ever made in my entire life. Without God we are merely empty pitchers that have no purpose.
