It might be possible. If they can put giant mirrors in our atmosphere to reflect most of the sunrays to keep most of the heat of the sun from reaching us, why not pump air polution out beyond our atmosphere?

That would be a great idea if it was possible. And if it is possible then it would be to costly.

A: We don't put giant mirrors in space.... The cost of getting the mirrors up there and maintaning them would be astronomical.
B: Can you imagine how much money/effort that would take? How would that system work? Would we fill up the sky with magical floating tubes that suposedly suck up the 'bad air'? How would we separate polution from 'good air'?

But what would the consequences of this be? What if too much sunlight is deflected, and organisms that really require it start dying off? And as there is no air in space, the pollution we try to pump out will probably just return to us anyway.

There is no way to put a pipe from the ground to space. There is no material strong enough to make such a long pipe that would obviously not be supported anywhere along its length. And to launch the stuff by rocket would cause more pollution from all the rocket launches than you would get rid of.

we've been sending out radio waves into outer area considering Marconi invented the instant. i'm no longer specific of any team of scientists it quite is actively sending out "street maps" to Earth or invites to bypass to. besides the shown fact that, there's a undertaking suggested as SETI (seek for further Terrestrial Intelligence) that does a honest quantity of listening for different civilizations radio waves.

Your question reminds me of an episode of futurama where a huge ball of garbage was headed back to earth and so they sent out another huge ball of garbage to knock it out of earths path and into the sun.
