my ex broke up with me this week.and well i have been avoiding him since then phone calls and such. just kinda hard to deal with it,i really did care about him. not sure love yet but i cared almost to that point.but we talked now and he said he had to clear his mind he was unsure about somethings which i dont mind really i rather him tell me then drag me along.but hes always said he cares for me. and wants to work things out. but im not sure if i should go back im scared of him leaving me again. i dont know if i should let him in so soon again.

I have been through the same thing megan. I think you should talk to him and become friends with him. While you are friends talk about what it would be like to date again. If you feel or come to the conclusion that you will break up again, then I wouldn't go back out with him. I would just stay friends. But if it looks like a happy ending then go for it girl!

I liked what the other gal said "if in doubt, keep him out".
I would simply tell him that he needs more time to think about what he wants. And then give him that time. You sound like a strong girl who knows what's right for yourself. Stick to your guns, but then if you care about him- you should always let him talk and hear him out. Allow space for both of you to grow together- even for seeds to sprout they need a few inches apart.

If in doubt keep, him out. Your heart is an easy thing to give, even when you don't think you are. Breaking it is also an easy thing for the other to do if they don't feel the same. My ex did similar, and it ended horrible. Try giving it some time, if he still feels that same later, then maybe?

you shouldnt go out with him again. at least not yet. just build up a good friendship with him first. then if you feel a love connection again then go for it.

give it time. if you still dont feel like you should have him in your life like that then just tell him you need your space. if he cares for you then he will give your space to you, if not then that shows who he really is
