"I mean it's whole wheat come on" hahahah too cute. I love bread too. Eat what you like sweety..just keep it to 1200 calories a day. After my 5 mile Run by 6:30AM I have French toast almost every morning 2 slices about 240 calories with 5 egg whites I scramble on the side and two tablespoons low cal syrup and if i've been extra good i'll have a couple slices of tofurkey bacon (YUM!) About 415 calories with furkey. I just had a home-made sub with wheat bun and two chicken breast patties with sprouts, lettuce, tomato and mustard. Lookin' at about 300 there then fruit salad for late afternoon meal and a huge garden salad with more lean chicken breast and i'm good for the day around 5 - 5:50 pm (nothing after 6 pm) . All adds up to about 1100-1200 cals per day. Losing about 3-5 pounds a week. Less bread would be better but If you don't eat what you like you'll never stick with your new life long weight management plan. so eat up. Good luck...Rob

consuming processed grains with every meal is surely not optimum for health. the majority of the carbohydrates consumed are to be from whole food sources like oats, rice, beans, lentils, yams, etc. not breads

Bread is a carbohydrate. If your blood sugar levels (meaning you are not diabetic) are okay and you exercise it off it should be fine.
