I "connected" to my soul mate this morning as the glorious sun came up. We enjoyed a fresh banana and peach salad for brunch and he headed to work. I am doing laundry and hanging it out on the line to bring some of that wonderful outside smell to my home later. I will be baking a peach pie and making snicker doodle cookies this evening after it cools off. Watering the garden and grass is a never ending job and of course feeding all the new kittens and the dogs.

I took a bag with me when I went shopping, so I wouldn't waste the resources on a disposable bag. I admired the flowers in front of the shopping plaza I went to. I got pretty wilted by the heat and humidity as I waited at the bus stop. I noticed the fallen leaves (already!) on the sidewalk as I walked from the bus stop to home.

Actually, I am staying away from planet Earth today as much as I can. It's nearly 110 degrees right now. I don't want to be in nature right now. I just might melt out there. I want to be indoors. I love creation and how God is a wonderfully creative God, but right now, it's summer. I don't need to be communing with nature with heat advisories going on.

I am at our shop today, but this morning my dog and I went out early and had a nice walk in the fresh morning air. Then I went out in the garden and picked some zucchini and spaghetti squash. It got my day off to a great start!

Watched the sun rise with my infant son, and have spent alot of today enjoying his company outside on the lawn with the dogs, or napping with him. Lovely day.
