If she's wearing them only to bed, not to worry. Kids hit growth spurts and often their bladders are among the last things to catch up. Now, if she was wearing them all day, that would be a different story.

My daughter is 6 and has been potty trained since she was 2. She started wetting the bed pretty frequently within the last year. At first we weren't sure if it was an attention thing or if it was a real problem. One thing to check for is bladder infections, little girls urethras are very short and therefor very likely to contract infections. 6 year olds are big enough to wipe themselves after going potty, but are not always wiping themselves as good as they should...try wet wipes and stress the importance of being cleanly. We also let her wear pull ups to bed at night, which actually worked as an enabler because she could wet the bed and never worry about it, with a pull up there was no reason to get out of bed to go potty. Maybe try putting a plasic cover under the sheets on the bed so the matress doesn't get ruined and let her try it without pull ups, being uncomfortable is a good incentive to change her ways.

My son is almost 7 and wets the bed a lot. His doctor, also thinks this is normal. Some tips are to cut off drinks two hours before bed and during that two hours have her use the toilet several times. Wake her up at least once in the middle of the night to urinate (go with her in case she's disoriented from being sleepy). ANother tip we were given is during the day have the child try an "hold it" whenever they can. Never so much as they end up wetting them self, just longer than normal. That is suppose to help stretch their bladder out so it holds more urine during the night.

I was still sometimes wetting the bed at about age 5. To change this I used to go to bed at about 7pm, and then when my mum went to bed about 3 hours later she would wake me up just enough to lead me to the bathroom, sit on the toilet and pee, and then lead me back to bed. This worked really well, and I also watched a documentary about a child with a similar problem and this was the advice that the expert on the programme gave her parents.

Yes, this is normal. I had a neighbor who was 6, and she wore Pull-Ups. If the Dr. isn't concerned about it, then don't worry!

I'd get a 2ND opinion. Is she an only child? I would talk to a specialist, 6 seems a bit old to be having that problem. My girls were both potty trained completely by 2. I really pushed the issue and praised them when they did well. I hope you get the help you need. God Bless.
