How often do 'war crimes' occur? I understand the troops in Iraq face alot of stress, but really, other than Haditha, is there a possibility that many more similar situations have been covered up?

Not that often at all. Even among those crimes, it was usually other soldiers that reported it, because everytime one of these idiots does something bad, it makes the rest of our jobs that much harder.

There will always be small numbers of people in any population that cause problems. Civilian crime rates are far higher then military crimes. The article below demonstrates the comparison.
