They left this mourning and they already fed her and I think she has been sick for a while.
I took her for a walk this mourning and she kept going into the "number 2" position. Very frequently. I took a close look at the spot where she didn't appear to do business and there was blood trickling down the grass. I think she is bleeding when she urinates. She is an adult dog about six years old, spayed, female, golden retreiver and little overweight. She doesn't get very good excersise ethier. Her stool this mourning was also very watery and discolored. She is fed Purina dry and wet food. Every morning they fill her food bowl to the top with dry food and give her an entire can of wet food. (the bigger size) Thats for the day.
What do you think could be wrong? Thank you for your help.

Sometimes I notice her breathing isn't very graceful. It sounds like when she exhales it happends very abrubt. Her stool this afternoon was solid and yellowish.

There are too many possibilities to mention. If they left you with a vet to contact I would do that as soon as possible. If not contact an one you know of. Describe what has been going on to them and follow their advice.
Once when we were away both my Goldens came down with a mysterious illness and I was very grateful that the person I left them with was aware enough to get them to the vet promptly. Had she not, they both would have died.

First call the vet. You can try changing the dogs diet to a sensitive stomach formula you can make at home. Feed her half of what you normally would when you feed her using this mix. Ingredients:4 cups steamed white rice in chicken broth, steamed mixed veggies(from a bag), 1 cup cottage cheese, and boiled chicken(2-3 cups). This should make 2 to 3 servings. No wet canned food. It is bad for the dog. You can also mix in a little bit of her dry food.
If she is not lothargic or anything it could just be her diet and her being nervous(seperation anxiety) about being away from her owners. Take her for a few good walks and play with her. She should be fine.

It is most likely her diet. A vet could advise you. Just off the top of my head I think you could try not giving her the wet food.......just the dry food for awhile. The wet food might be too rich for her. Also, she might have worms. Feeding her bits of raw garlic will kill any worms. You might look to see if there are worms in her stool, or hanging out of her anus. Good luck.

The dog is very sick, and needs to be taken to the vet ... preferably the vet that usually takes care of the dog, if you know which one that is ... but PLEASE take the dog to the vet. It may be 'costly' to you up front, and you may or may not get 'repaid' by her owners, who obviously don't know how to take care of a large dog well ... but for your own peace of mind, take her anyway. Blood and diarrhea are bad enough separately, but together means that this dog may be 'dying' from the inside out.

Many dogs get depressed when there owners vacation. There stomachs get upset, they may not eat, or get constipated among other symptoms. . Are you sure you are seeing blood or is there a chance it could be her anal sacs leaking while she is trying to go? I would talk to her owners and decide how to proceed, a vet visit may be in order.

You need to get in touch with teh owners and tellthem what is going on and ask what they want yo9u to do it might be nothing but then again with blood it could be something more serious.
