I have an original equipment Remington-Rand 1911A1 and it does the same thing. I haven't worried over the cause, because there is no malfunction, and the cases straighten out when run through a resizer to reload.
Try different loadings and see if the problem persists. A light load may not move the slide fast enough for for the case to clear the ejection port.

Bound's hubby here:

If by "flat spot" you mean a flattening of the cartridge case near the case mouth, this is usually typical of a semi-auto pistol. At one point is was thought the brass would flatten when the cartridge case hit groud or pavement. Of late, it seems the flattening was caused by the brass striking the ejection port of the slide and many manufacturers "lowered the ejection port" to reduce the flattening potential. Short of seeing a cartridge case, I can not offer a better explaination as to the cause of the problem. Typically, the barrel height with respect to the frame and the magazine are not a problem especially since all these parts are about 98% interchangeable without fitting.

Good luck.

Bounds Hubby is absolutely correct and has hit the nail on the head with his answer. The bent cases are common among clones/copies of the original 1911. The brass will resize to normal size if you decide to reload the brass. Not to worry. No need to do any repairs or alterations to your gun. As we say in the Gunsmith trade.."If it ain't broke..Don't fix it!"
Have a great worry free day!
