I'm assuming you'd admit that humans are fallible and sinful? Correct?
Humanity is fallible and thus will do bad and wrong things, so, isn't it possible, even if God originally spoke to prophets, asking them to communicate his message, that someone, down the line, messed up or intentionally altered the original presentation? It has been documented that printers often misprint and publish Bibles with typoes. Many, many religious books are excluded from the Bible because religious bodies and groups decided, amongst their human-selves, which writings would make up the Bible as we know it. History shows us that politics had much to do with how the Bible is now presented to us, thus, might it not be possible that an actual Word-of-God book was excluded because someone didn't have faith enough? Isn't it possible that some people, only wishing to gain political power and prestige, took out books that would question it?
Also think, how can God, who is above and beyond human understanding and comprehension actually speak to us in such a manner than one would understand? Isn't it true that God can't speak and has a angel speak for him (Gabriel as one example)? So, how can humans accurately know and thus communicate what is, seemingly by definition, unknowable?
God is through faith. The Bible is merely an object with beautiful language, some truth, and some great stories that can be presented in a false light.

Seems like a circular argument to me. I believe in God, and I believe in the Bible, but I never liked the "reciprocal proofs" theory, that is, "We know that there's a God because the Bible says so, and anything in the Bible is true because It's the word of God."
One does a disservice to ones own beliefs when one supports them with flawed arguments. This is true of science, politics, philosophy, law, etc. as well as religion.
To be honest, I suspect that you're a troll.

God creates rocks, trees, rivers, and clouds. Man writes books. If you want to see God's truth, go look at nature. Anything you find in a book obviously involved a human or two at some point in its creation - and is thus flawed.
If God wanted to send people messages why would he use a book? Humans can produce books. God has many mediums for communication available that man could not alter or interfere with. God would have to be nuts, (and extremely unimaginative), to use a book to send messages to mankind.
Your faith is misplaced. Look elsewhere.

If you parse it out, you will realize you have circular reasoning here. It is all premised on "The Bible is the word of God." That is an assertion, not a proven fact. Those of us who do not believe that is so will not be convinced by your arguments.
It's like the Catholic thing about the pope being infallible. How do they know he's infallible? Because he said so, and he's infallible!

I would say the bible is true because it parallels history in many instances, and because it continues to exist. No one has proved it false, and if the comments on this question are any indication, I'm sure many have tried.
To Bula'ia Aratyme: Your information just indicates that Jehovah improved on his design when he made man. If Ape and man were from the same species or kind, they would be able to hybridize or interbreed. End of discussion!

So if I write a book, and say that everything I said was told to me by "God", and was his very word, then you'd believe it?
Just because something claims to be the word of God doesn't mean that's true. Prove to me that it IS the absolute word of God, and then I'll believe it.

Er...OK! Since you believe that because a book claims to be the word of God, it must be true, I'll also mention the fact that the Qur'an also claims to be the word of God (or Allah), even though it was supposed to have been sent down to Muhammed for him to recite. I'm assuming here that you're a Christian, but are we to deduce that you also believe that the Qura'n is true?

The Bible was written by the disciples of Christ, or you couuld call them his 11 disciples (Judas took no part of this) . These words came from Christ and his disciples wrote them in this book. When the Holy Ghost descended upon them, they were enlightened with the gift of knowledge, that is, being able to speak different languages so they can reach out to people around the Earth. They recalled everything that Christ taught them while he was here on earth. How can people say it's not true just because it came from the apostles???? It came from them THROUGH Christ. So, if you were to write a book about your parents from everything that they tld you about them...does that automatically make it false because YOU wrote it and not them? Come on, that's just ignorant. The Bible is from God just though people (his apostles). Does this make the 10 Commandments a lie too? He GAVE them to Mosesto GIVE to US. How does this make things false? Think about it.
