Yes, in fact that is the text book start time for a female dog to go into heat. Vet's tell you that if you don't want to have a cycle you have to have them fixed prior to 6 months. I know it seems young, but that I think is cause mentally we compare it more to human cycles, but dogs start very young. The vet told me though that its really not a great time for them to get pregnant so young, so make sure she's not anywhere near unfixed male dogs, they can get her pregnant in like 2 seconds.

Yup it's normal. Just like people animals mature before they should be breeding. When it's over get her fixed. The humane society can give you a coupon to get a discount on the procedure. While in heat your dog can be unpredictable and destructive. So keep a close eye on her.

She's in her first heat cycle. She's at the right age to be going through this and its perfectly normal. Keep all males dogs away and when she is finished, take her to the vet and get her spayed.

Don't worry my female was also like that but just don't let her mate with any males if you are her birth will be very painful and she could die. I have a male and a female but I make sure that they do not mate.

it is a little early so don't breed her, but it should be fine. She is just having an early heat cycle. The earliest we have had one come in heat is 9 months, but it depends on the dog so it should be fine.

Sounds like she's in heat. if you're worried though, take her to the vet and inquire. I hear they make doggie diapers for this very problem

SHE IS PROBABLY HAVING HER FIRST HEAT THIS AND ALL HEATS WILL LAST ABOUT 21 DAYS.
THIS HAPPENS USUALLY FROM 6 MONTHS TO 1 YEAAR AND THEN USUALLY EVERY 6 MONTHS IF YOU AREN'T PLANNING ON BREEDING HER THIS WOULD BE A GOOD TIME TO GET HER SPAYED ONCE FINISHED WITH THIS HEAT CYCLE.

Sounds like she is in heat. It is a little young, but within the range of normal She is WAY to young to breed, since she herself is still growing.
If you have any concerns, please contact your vet.
