There are lots of things you can do! Remember, the way to healthy weight loss is 1/2 eating better and 1/2 exercise. You need both. Don't diet! Make lifestyle changes.
Exercise doesn't have to mean going to the gym for 2 hours a day. Walking is great cardiovascular exercise and adding 30 minutes of extra walking per day can help you burn calories, plus it's really easy. Bring tennis shoes with you when you go to work or at school and walk! Add an extra 5 minutes onto your errands and walk around the store a couple more times. Walk to get lunch or go places you would normally drive, ie. within 10 blocks.
Eating right is also easier than you think. Intimidated by giving up all the taste fat brings to food? Try the 1/2 and 1/2 method. This means mixing half of the regular version with half of the low fat or no fat version, like mayo or milk. This lets you have the taste while still cutting down on calories and fat. Buy frozen vegetables where you bought canned (less salt, more nutrients). Cut out sodas! Switch to tea or diet sodas.
Most of all, don't give up! Reward yourself every month with something NOT food related! (Like a manicure or haircut.)

find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
diet is 80% of the whole weight (fat) loss
cardio is the only fat burning exercise and burns fat all over your body (running, jogging, swimming, spinning, elliptical etc) 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), weight training a few days a week but never work on the same muscle group two days in a row (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

you can try running/walking in the morning when you get up. 30 minutes of it is good enough to start losing weight. try doing little things in the office, like tapping your feet constantly or fidgeting in your chair. it may sound silly but the important thing is that you are moving, instead of being stationary all the time. also try eating healthier, meaning eat more fruits and vegetable and lean meat, like turkey and veal. they will fill you up and make you feel satisfied. also remember to drink at least 8 cups of water a day. do that by bringing a water bottle or two to work. hope this helps.
