The point of tattoos is not to be fashionable.
The point is to express yourself regardless of fashion.
I don't really care if my tattoos are "in" or not.

Tattoos have always been around. But now they are becoming part of pop culture. Everyone is getting tattoos. You will never find a popular rap, rock or almost now even pop star that doesn't have a tattoo. It's "cool". It's less taboo and alot of teenagers are trying to push the limits with their elders. It's a form of expression for alot of people.
So i'm voting all three.

What's "in style" has nothing to do with it. Tattoos are for us and should be thought of that way. It's not about fads, rebellion, or getting attention. It's up to you if you want it to be visible. I can't have any 100% visible, I'm going into teaching and that's not professional so my compromise is being able to hide them.

i do no longer care approximately types as long as they are properly carried out and not carried out for a stupid reason. real tribal tattoos (Maori or Samoan or different tribes) have symbolic importance while the flash tribal junk is made as much as "seem cool." Now if a WWII vet had the Marine corps emblem or an Anchor in the event that they have been interior the army and it replaced into dwindled blue ink, thats a diverse tale using fact it replaced right into a diverse time, that tattoo has importance for them, and tattooing has come an prolonged way now in terms of technologies, technique, and inks. people who say specific tattoo types are out are people who get it for the only reason of attempting to look cool or badass and don't understand the real meaning of having a tattoo, to instruct real paintings that incorporates a deep importance for you.

Tattoos have been around for centuries and they will be around long after we are all dead and gone. I really don't see much difference in visible tattoos versus ones that can be hidden because ANY tattoo can be hidden when the need arises. Either by wearing stage makeup, long sleeves, pants, etc.

It completely depends on where you are. I personally don't believe they've ever gone out of style, but they're certainly not appropriate for the work place. A lot of people are unfortunately turned off by having a cashier, regardless of whether it's at McDonalds, Walmart or HomeDepot deal with them if they have full sleeves. Likewise, a professional is less likely to be taken seriously if they have large prominent tattoos that can't easily be covered by clothing.
I suppose it is a form of discrimination for those with tattoos to be judged by their appearance as opposed to their merit, but until they are accepted by a greater number of people as acceptable instead of "cliquish' there's not much to be done about it...

people who get tattoos based on what is in style will be sorely disappointed in a few years. those of us who get tattooed who do it for intense personal reasons or the art of it don't care whether it is in style to have them or not. you won't get a definite answer here but my answer is: one is played out if they chose their tattoo on whether it is in style or not.

tattoo is body art! therefore there will always be people interested in tattoos and will always be people getting them,
and because it is a form of expression it dosent matter what anyone else thinks except the person who has the tattoo

As a woman who has a full sleeve, I can honestly say, MY tattoo's will never go out of style, because they are my own.
