Not sure, but Wikipedia says:

Yes English mut'a also there are Wahhabi mut'a called mesiar marriage. I think he wanted to be the King of Hijaz but because he was mut'a child the royal family hired John Philby for that position the later was Wahhabi.

According to the movie his father was not married to his mother. So, I'd have to say...I don't know for sure.
