just cause there are real places in it, doesn't make it all true.

Some history classes uses text from the Bible as part of ancient History, but never the actual Bible itself.

Because using the Bible in a History class is against the rules of the school system unless you are taking a bible class. Just like prayer. And, bible classes are banned in public schools. They would only be found in Colleges or Universities where theology is taught.

First, I am sorry for the answers you are receiving that are mocking your question. There are many atheists (not all) on this site that are intolerant of Christian beliefs.
To clarify, the Bible is very accurate. The historical sections of the Bible are some of the most accurate history we have of the area. Contrary to those who say it has been proven to be false, documents found through excavation in ancient Babylon, Assyria and others cultures of the Tigris-Euphrates area has supported the historical claims of the history of Israel.
The biggest reason it isn't taught in history classes is that schools in America are not allowed to teach religion. They can teach culture (so there are detailed studies of Islam, etc.) but they cannot teach religion. Since the history in the Bible comes within the framework of a book about how God is working in history, it cannot be taught in our schools.
I don't agree with this personally. When I was growing up I was taught about Babylon, Assyria, the Persian Empire, etc. But I was taught little or nothing about Israel and Palestine. I believe that I could have better understood many of the changes I have seen in the Middle East better had I been given an understanding of the historical section of the Bible.
God bless you
Pastor John

Even History Books are more entertaining than the Bible. Also, History books give much clearer facts. It tells me what year something happened, wherein the Bible just tells me that it happened

Because the Bible is totally reliable and true; but not intended to teach history (other what is relevant to the history of God's intervention in man's salvation), I think.

For the same reason we don't use Greek and Roman mythology is history class. It's not history, they are parables (stories) about fictional characters.

Not all people believe the Bible I do but i know some people who don't. They don't believe it because of their religion the same way you wouldn't go against your beliefs. Neither would they.

As there are no supporting documents that can ascertain that the events in the christian bible actually happened then it cannot be taught as history.
