You need complex carbs for breakfast because they give you energy and protein in the second half of the day since it repairs muscle.
Calories per meal: if i need 1800cal/day to lose weight - that would be about 300cal/meal 6 meals a day. I can take off or add a little to each meal, e.g. 450cal breakfast, 250cal snack, 400cal lunch, 200cal snack, 350cal dinner and 150cal snack.

you should have protein with every meal. for an average women it should be around 20 grams with each meal. aim for 250-300 calories for each meal. if all your meals have the same calories it will be better for fat loss. you have to treat your body like a machine because it is one.
