How about discussing it with her parents? It's better to piss her off as a friend then to sit around waiting for something terrible to happen to her. If she said not to tell, then she knows there's something wrong and she doesn't want people to find out. If I were you, I'd try to find her help in anyway possible even if that means telling people and making her mad. Just let her know you told to help her not to hurt her.

The best thing you can do is tell an adult or warn her parents. You cannot help her alone! She needs professionals that know how to handle this. I know that would be hard, since you promised not to tell, and she will be upset with you. But would you rather her be upset with you or have her destroy her own body? In the end, she'll thank you.
Good luck hun!

She IS sick and the longer she goes without help, the poorer the chance of her getting better. She needs medical attention as well as therapy from a counselor who specializes in anorexia.

Pray for her. Your friend needs psychiatric help, sweetie.
No matter how much you want to help her you can't do it.
Responsibility for her body belongs to her, not you.
All things are possible with God. Pray that God gives her the wisdom to get help she needs, and the courage to accept that help. Pray twice a day every day for 30 days and at the end of one month you may be impressed at the results. God bless you for being such a caring and compassionate friend.

It's time to contact her parents or a counselor at school if you're not comfortable talking to her mom and dad. Unfortunately, there comes a time when some people have to have control taken away from them to keep them alive, and it sounds like your friend is at that point. She may act mad at first, but it sounds to me like she is asking for help she can't ask for herself.

Anorexia can lead to heart trouble, organ failure and even death. She may not feel sick from it, but it can make her very sick. Let her know how sick it can make her. Maybe that will have an effect on her.

i know you promised her that you wouldnt tell anyone, but you need too. not neccesarily peers, but maybe like her parents. its really important that they know so that they can hire a professional or do things that you cant do on your own. if they already know, and they aren't doing everything in their power to help her, then you need to speak to a school counselor, or do some research on who to talk to and how to help.
best of luck

i think maybe you should get an adult involved. Aneroxia is very serious and its great that you are trying to help her and that can help some people....... but if she's not going to listen to you, then you've done all you can.
