she does a bunch of gay stuff like "webkinz" and watches "hannah montana" and is obsessed with the disney channel and does retarded dances to get attention. I know shes pretty cool... but all that crap she does worries me. I don't want her to be the "retarded girl who watches hannah montana" in her eighth grade year!

Give her time. Some kids mature slower than others. Dont pressure her or make fun of her. Let her have her fun the way she wants it. Just because you think something is lame doesnt mean it is. Leave her alone. She will grow up when she is ready and not before. Be nice to her.

Let her go at her own rhythm. Soon she will be obsessed with boys and will be out late worrying you. Enjoy it while she is still acting like a little girl. I know you just want to protect her from the outside world but she will get to learn and grow on her own just like you did.

Give her a cup of her own medicine. First you simply talk to your parents about what you are going to do. You need them to act like they're going to give you stuff only "older, responsible" people get. Stuff only she'll like ok? Then you act like a thirteen year old and get the responsible stuff. Only the stuff older kids get. But don't blame her for the Hannah Montana thing. My parents like it. Eventually she'll want that stuff too. So just keep doing that until she does.

Like, favorite spot at the table, getting to choose what game you play at family time, a new stereo, choosing what channel to watch at family time, etc.

You sound to me like you've got a lot of time on your hands.
Why don't you just let her be and focus on you?!
She's just a little girl don't force her to grow up so fast--she likes what she likes.
Peace.

Some kids don't mature that quickly, yes, give her time by 15 or so she'll grow out of it.
