Bethybug;

The Seventh Day Adventist Church is one such church that changed their stance on the issue of the “trinity”.
There was a time that this church did not hold to the Roman Catholic view of the “trinity”. They stood on the Scripture alone for this stance and then around the 1950’s there were a few false teachers that came in and made changes to the beliefs of the church.

Too answer the other questions “why have they changed”;
It is so they can be seen as MAINSTREAM or that other churches do not see that they are all that different and that they can fit into the so called-“Christian” community of today.

If they truly stood true to the word of God they would not conform to this world but they would stand apart from it and would be a beacon unto this world and the light of God would shine from them. Instead they desire to be like the world and they refuse to be separate from the world.
By so doing they will be lost unless there is a change.

There is more that can be said.

Peace and Grace
David

The only way to answer your question would be by saying that this is open to "individual interpretation" by any church or individual. To me, it is the Trinity is "set in stone and Blood", but others may deny it. There are many controversial subjects in the Holy Bible which the churches have opened to individual interpretation. For instance, "The Rapture of the Churches" Most Right leaning churches are stuck on the Rapture, while others believe there is no Rapture. I am of this school, and say there is no rapture. This was never promised in the Holy Bible. And since many believe, including myself, that we are now in Tribulation, this would prove the fact of there being no rapture. You can see the innocent suffering in this country and around the world, more than ever before. We have had the floods, the fires, the tornadoes, the bridge collapse, the burning bridge, the "drunk astronauts", the "300# jumping sturgeons that break people's bones", and every other matter of tragedy and strange stories. This shows you that the innocent are also being tried. Many Christian churches have fallen by the wayside, therefore their loyalty and belief needs to be tested and vetted.

Not all Churches are being lead by the Holy Spirit of God and are in apostasy. They have fallen for another Jesus as Paul spoke of those who would be prey for seducing spirits in the ladder days. There is a Holy Trinity and a evil Trinity which consist of Satan, the Antichrist, and the false Prophet. They will together lead the whole world to receive a mark in their right hand in order to buy or sell anything called a Microchip Implant, Those who receive it in the church world or without will be judged by Almighty God and sentenced.This Implant is already being placed in pets and animals and the FDA has approved it safe for humans..People are next! Go to trumpetmin.org and click, "Could this be the mark?"

God is the same yesterday, today & tomorrow.

So? Some Churches might deny & not baptize in the Name of the Father, Son & Holy Spirit, but then this is denying Gods fulness & the water baptism probable didn't do any good.

Bobby Cow, Body, soul & spirit is how it is written in the bible. Body is our flesh & tabernacle of the Holy Spirit. Soul is our personal decisions. The Spirit is associated to our conscience & must be born again & the miracle of spiritual birth takes place. So to be whole is to be the trinity; body, soul & spirit. I am trying to explain that the mind & soul are too associated so the same thing.

God is a trinity in the beginning. This isn't the Name of God, because God is more than a trinity. But God (Elohim) created the heavens & the earth. Elohim is plural of El to express the fulness of God. The Spirit of God (Holy Spirit) hovered over the seas like a bird over his nest) Elohim said, "Let there be light..." And there was light. So? Elohim the Father, Word & Holy Spirit said in Unity. By the faith of God & by the spoken Word of God comes creative power & all things were created. God the Father, Word & Holy Spirit is the Creator. And these 3 are 1. God is the same yesterday, today & tomorrow.

Because God said so many times that beside Him there is no one else. Trinity was not at the beginning, and it will be exposed for a false ideology in the end. If God is the same yesterday, today, and forever and so is His word....there CAN'T be a trinity. Ah, but it takes someone who really wants truth and not religion to get that usually.

What churches? And if so the bible says that in the last days there will be a falling away, and people will succumb to the "doctrine of the devils" (false doctrine, and anti- scriptural)
The bible is clear in Colossians 1 where it says in reference to Jesus:
15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether
And also in 1 Timothy 3:16- God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached to the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory…
And then add to that the prophesies from the Old Testament regarding Jesus birth, and His name being : Emmanuel (God with us)
I'll stay "stuck" according to the word of God.
Be blessed as you seek study His Word.

Unfortunately it's a sign of the times. It seems as though everyone wants to take a stab at religion these days. The truly faithful will always believe in the Holy Trinity and know that God will not turn on us as so many have turned on him.

"....why have some churches changed their belief about this?

Unless God gave me a word of Knowledge I could only guess. But if I had to guess I would look at these passages to derive me guess from.

2 Timothy 4:1 I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: 2 preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. 3 For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, 4 and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.

2 Peter 2:1 But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed. 3 And in their greed they will exploit you with false words. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep....15 Forsaking the right way, they have gone astray. They have followed the way of Balaam, the son of Beor, who loved gain from wrongdoing, 16 but was rebuked for his own transgression; a speechless donkey spoke with human voice and restrained the prophet's madness.

l think to many Christian are focused on trying to understand the Trinity or The God Head which ever you believe or understand is not so important as obedience and remembering that Jesus Christ died for all our sins. He Loves us no matter what we believe. only in the day of his coming will we fully understand.
