Yes, it is normal. It is the blood clotting. Call your dentist and ask if you can lightly swish with some Listerine to kill any bacteria that is sticking around.

No, you don't need to be concerned. It is really common. The odor and taste you are experiencing is from the blood clot forming in your mouth. Also, often times there will be a callous that forms as well, and when hit with saliva it makes an odor as well.

Just keep rinsing the way your oral surgeon told you too. If it lasts any longer than 10-12 days I would go back and see if your surgeon can give you a water pick to get potential food particles out of the healing site.

it is totally normal. the smell is either the blood clotting or the stitches in your mouth. keep brushing your teeth and rinsing with salt water and the odor should go away soon. if it bothering you a whole lot, ask your dentist what you can do that would help. i got mine out back in may and even though the odor was bothersome, i just kept brushing my teeth and using the salt water and eventually the odor went away. hope it helps...

There is often bleeding after a dental removal and the dry blood can be the cause of the odour due to bacteria.
But get it checked for infection any way just in case as an infection may smell before swelling and pain occurs

Perfectly normal in my case. After extracting my jowl teeth my mouth tasted like a sewer smelled for a week. Just keep the warm salt watter handy to use for mouthwash and you will be OK.

You have an open wound in perhaps the most germ infested area of the human body, and it smells of almonds. I would get it looked at by a professional. Soon.
Oh and on a more important note, never ask medical advice on the internet. Unless they have proof of their credentials.
