I am quite a confident person, and I am not losing weight because I think it will make everything perfect etc, I'm not stupid!
I'm going on holiday in september, and I know if i want to look nicer in my bikini I need to lose some weight.
I eat healthily, Im vegetarian and I've removed all fatty foods and junk foods out of my diet, and i use my exercise bike or i walk for 30mins every day.(but only been doing this now for about a week)
But i was just wondering if anyone has any good tips or advice to help me lose as much weight as i can as soon as i can?
Thank-yooouuuuuu!! X

I would suggest trying smoothies in place of a meal, 3-4 times a week. I get them from the gym that I go to and they are great. I usually snack a little after the smoothie, but it still a lot less calories than eating. also, you said walking for 30 min, I would suggest trying to increase that to more like 45-60 min. 30 min is good for exercise, but for losing weight, you need a little more time to burn more calories.

To start the thing that would help you most as far as I can offer is to walk. NOT LEISURELY. Try getting a couple of those small weights (2lb. like at target). I know it sounds stupid but when I work out I have given up music while doing it. However, hold on before you say "whatever" and let me finish, I instead use audiobooks to occupy my mind. When I have to sit for an hour and a half and ride the excercise bike my mind gets bored and I start thinking about "when I can finish." That defeats the longevity of the workout from the only place that can ruin it... the mind. So what I do is down load books that are on such things as Particle physics, quantum mechanics, dimensions, etc. Things that get my wheels turning. What I listen to probably won't work for you but find something that interests you to a point of facination and makes you think abstractly and in a problem solving manner. It works because my mind begins to bend on whatever I am listening to and I start thinking so hard that I lose track of time and have to make myself stop the exercise. It's never boring and I look forward to my time in the gym. Strange yes, but as you will know if you've ever had that one class in school that went by in, well, it seemed five minutes then you understand that this works on the same theory. Whatever is your "theoretical physics," Load it up and go walk. Just remember to look for traffic when you do... it can sneak up on you. :) Good luck.

find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio is the only fat burning exercise and burns fat all over your body (running, jogging, swimming, spinning, elliptical etc) 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), weight training a few days a week but never work on the same muscle group two days in a row (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

The best method for losing weight is to eliminate as many processed foods from your diet- try to eat more fruits and vegetables. Also, drinks a lot of water, instead of drinking juice, milk, soda, etc. Excersize every day- sit ups, leg lifts, basically anything that gets you moving. Swimming is excelent...it works on everything. Basically, that is it. Keep at it, and you will see results. Eat lots of fiber, drink lots of water, and excersize alot. Good luck! =)

I just found an incredible DVD workout series called "Get Ripped" by Jari Love. If you have netflix or something you can rent it before you buy it. It's VERY intense, but it will help and she offers different levels of intensity. I have only done 3 workouts and I SWEAR I can see slight improvements already! I have the Get Ripped 1000 DVD and just ordered the rest of the series because it's that good.
