I wanted to respond to the last question but it was removed. Here is why I believe, tell me what you think:
Christianity has a rich history which started with the jews at the beginning of time. The bible is filled with historical facts that Archaeologists use and has been proven very reliable. We have over 5000 documented ancient findings of scripture, many in different languages, all the same. WE have the dead sea scrolls to prove this also. The Vatican just bought 2 gospels dating 90 ad, the same as we have today. There is prophesies that has come to pass from the bible that proves it's reliability. Over 300 just for the man Jesus.

We have non christian evidence of Jesus from Tacitus and Josephus both historians. And a Governor named Pliny the Younger who all wrote about "Christos" and his followers the Christan's.

Archaeologists have found the tomb of Caiaphas who was the Pharisee that brought Jesus to trial.
Jesus WAS a real person who was an historical figure. Even well read Atheists KNOW this.

We have eye witnesses who had every thing to loose by claiming to be a follower of Jesus. Why? When Jesus was killed they scattered. Afraid. BUT when they saw he was resurrected they became bold. Why?
Since the bible is reliable, and Jesus WAS here you must decide.
Was he a nut? A liar, Or who he claimed to be.

For me, I personally have had MANY supernatural experienced with God/ Jesus. So many in fact I started keeping a journal.
God is real, Jesus is The Christ and there is salvation in no other name.

England has a huge problem because of the Anglican Church, (Church of England). It is just as stale and dead as the Catholic Church is in the rest of Europe. After centuries of church leaders living of the fat of the land while the common people starved along with sexual perversion, and corruption of the leaders, these nations have a hard time believing that evangelical Christianity is any different.

You really need to research your claims a bit more. Most of the "evidence" for Jesus has been proven false. The fact that the Christians after 324 ad ordered every book they could find that was not written by them burned does not make things easier. The Murder of Hypatia and the burning of the Alexandrian library is only one example of what was going on.
The forgeries of Eusebius are also famous for being Christians manufacturing evidence.

As for evidence supporting the bible, au contraire. That is like believing Harry Potter because trains existed in England or believing Sherlock Holmes was a real man becauses Baker Street is a real address.
In referrence to Herod's tomb, i should point out that If they had followed the bible descriptions they would NOT have found Herods tomb. It was description by Josephus Flavius that clued them in to it.
Throughout the bible we find many horrendous errors in claims of which cities existed at what times and these claims are flatly contradicted by the archaeology and geology of the region.
There are points where the bible actually gets things right, but in those cases it is almost coincidental. It is more like Mrs. Fletcher being true because she named the President properly in one story..

The people of England believe in the Christain scriptures as much as Christains do eslewhere in the world, and they follow them in a similar manner.

Sorry to disappoint you but the bible has proven time and time again to be historically inaccurate and unreliable as for as archeology goes.
The beginning of time began with the "big bang" and humankind did not exist at that time. Humans did not come along until much, much later.
Finding numerous copies of "scriptures" does not make them correct, accurate nor true. We have many copies of the Norse epic, the Edda Elda. Is the Norse belief in Odin and the Aesir the correct religion? There are many copies of the legends of ancient Japan and the pracitces of the Shinto, is that the correct religion?
Bibical scholars know the general history of when and how the Torah, Pslams, prophetic wirtings and the various Gospels were written. They are a patch work of the myths of other cultures in the area (cultures that existed before there were any Jews or Christians), written long after the facts and historical occurances they supposedly report. None of the Gospels were written in either Hebrew nor Aramaic, the languages of Yoshua bar Yoseph. Nor were they written during his life time. They were composed well after his demise.
Both Taticus and Josephus wrote about the Jewish uprising, which involved some Christains but which occured long after the death of Yoshua bar Yoseph (i.e, Jesus, in Greek) and are not necessarily thought of as reputable sources.
The myths of early Christianity are not supported by the historians of the time, such as the pentacost, the resurrection, the ascention, etc. The reliable and verifiable evidence does support that the groups who followed Yoshua bar Yoseph and who, after his death, proclaimed their belief that he was the Messiah or Christ (Greek term) splintered in many disjointed sects that fought each other and continually disagreed with one another about who Yoshua was, his mission and how they should follow him.
Many tombs have been found, including one marked as being that of Jesus, Mary, Jospeh, James, etc. These finding are just as reliable as that of find the tomb of Caiphas (he was a the High Priest at the time of Ysohua and he would have precided over any Jewish council that would have tried him.)

You appear to be blindly following what you have been "taught" by others who have blindly followed what they were "taught", etc. without anyone of you taking the time to do the necessary research so as to ascertain the validity of the same. According to your own chosen scriptures, this is literally the blind leading the blind and all of you have fallen into the ditch of ignorance as a result.

Personally, I have no problem with your profession of faith. It is your lack of knowledge and chosen ignorance that is bothersome.

If you are looking for a scripture that has a great deal more historical support and validity, you might read the Holy Qur'an as well as invesitgate by whom and when it was composed.

Of course, the better path would be to begin to think for yorself and to find your own personal answers within yourself.

May it all be well with you.

I was responding too.
The rant about the Bible being used to control others, yet that no one really believes the Bible in England was quite self contradictory.
History shows that religious persecution was very heavy in England and the rest of Europe from the Middle Ages to just a few hundred years ago. Many people jumped at the chance to come to the Americas to worship in peace. And the rich merchants took full advantage of this desire.
I have found that the claims of contradiction of the Bible, are really contradictions created by religious sects that have twisted the Bible's message.
Yes, the majority of people that say they believe in the Bible, are promoters of the false religious doctrines of which are easily traced all the way back to ancient Babylon

Very few indeed are those who today have been able to strip away the blinding traditions and doctrines to find the simple clear truth.

Yes I was frustrated with not being able to answer that question too! I am a former Brit who found spirituality in Canada. Britain is very much a post Christian country - in fact, last time I checked Muslims outnumbered the Christians by a long shot. The British culture does not support Christianity - you would be outcasted and the laughing stock if you were to ever voice your beliefs. This guy has probably never even seen a bible let alone read one!

I don't know the exact statistics, but about four-fifths of British people believe in God, with just under half classifying themselves as 'Christian'. England is part of Britain. Only seven per cent actually go to church though.

There are a lot less fundies in England. Lucky them.

They are not having to see their country degraded to the level of ignorance as a Creation Museum.

You have no such eye witnesses. What you have is complete fiction invented to use fear to control the sheeple.

well the bible has facts in it, but it has someone elses version in it also, so in England we sort of do and do not believe if you know what I mean.
God is my father and creator as well as my guide in life, Jesus is my brother and my healing guru, so I do believe and trust God and Jesus with everything that I am.
