Well, I say they are saying the truth to the best of their knowledge. They don't know the right answer for sure but they have a reason why they know the other person's statement is all wrong. So, what's wrong with answering that way? It's not meant to be mean, just their opinion.

Sorry but I have never heard a believer say they "were not sure." But they do insist that everyone else must be wrong.
