I think its awesome. Since it is not a 'store of the state' comrades, Wal Mart can sell whatever they choose to. The fact that this hits a nerve with our liberal "PC" crowd is just icing on the cake. Go ahead, stage a demonstration outside your local Wal-Mart protesting ................I will just buy more Jesus, Mary and Joseph dolls for my kids, their friends, my cousins kids, my nieces and nephews..........your kids.........= )

God Bless!

If they're really comparing these religious figures to the Ninja Turtles, I'm cool with that, because it IS all the same: figures based on imaginary beings. We'd sell serial killer action figures in this country if someone could make a buck off it, so Walmart's just doing its part for capitalism. We DO NOT live in a Christian country! Read the Constitution, would you? Just because the Christians are pretty much running everything doesn't mean it's how it's supposed to be.

I am absolutely appalled that Wal Mart is selling Biblical action figures!

What happens if my little boy wants to buy them? He might start asking questions about God, the meaning of life, and the Christian message of loving your fellow man and turning the other cheek. I don't wanna talk about all that gay stuff. I wanna take him to drag races and hockey games. It's always great to see a really vicious fight. Seeing two pissed off guys who DIDN'T turn the other cheek makes that $22 parking fee a little less painful.

Besides, what kind of normal kid is gonna buy some religious action figure? Does Moses parting the Red Sea qualify as an "action figure"? And darn it all, now my son might wanna see Charlton Heston in "The Ten Commandments" when I was all ready to rent "Soylent Green". I swear to God, that stupid Wal Wart is just going to ruin my tv watching.

Now I gotta admit, some of figures might actually be kinda cool. I certainly wouldn't mind my little tyke playing with a Joshua figure, the dude who kills the Amalekites "with the edge of the sword." Now that's a good toy, no gay purple dinosaur stuff!

I can't remember the Bible too well, but I'd sure like my kid to play with the action figure from Leviticus section of the Bible. That's the real man's part of the book, where all the cool killings and sacrifices take place. It's full of blood and gore, so you know it's gotta be good!

So, if Wal Mart's gonna sell action figures, make them real action figures. No gay stuff where people are herding sheep or forgiving their neighbor.

I don't see anything wrong with it. If there is a call for it and they can sell it, that is fine. Also... I do think it is about time children have the opportunity to learn about GOD in new ways and actually start to have the Bible as an influence in their life rather than say... a Paris Hilton doll. Also, its one line of products out of thousands in the store. I'm sure you will hear an uproar from people that will be offended that they or their children would have to see products that promote a good moral standard. Wal Mart should offer canes for those people so they can close their eyes as they walk around the store as not to be offended.

I find it rather strange...when trying to purchase a Biblical drama DVD recently I was told that such DVD movies were a seasonal item...HUH? since when is God a seasonal item?

so I find it strange that they would be selling Bible action figures....which I would not purchase...Has nothing to do with anything and is actually a form of mockery of Christianity....

And I would hope that wal mart is run by christian business people....honesty and fair treatment of employees...

removing the liquor sales is a good thing...don't need that in a family variety store....

If a person must have that drug then go to a liquor store.....the rest of us aren't interested and it removes the convenience for those with drinking problems...

It is a business, yes founded by a man who believes in God. There are other action figures sold that are secular, like wrestlers, comic book hero's and villains. Why not biblical figures. And to Sharon M:
IT IS A BUSINESS!!!!!!!!!!
Business (stores) need to find products that will sell so they can continue making money and in so doing also pay their employees and hire others to work there. It seems to me that the logic of enterprise and the free market system is lost on you.

It was just a matter of time. Wal Mart supports the Republican Party. The Republican Party is controlled by the religious right.

It was just a matter of time before religion could be bought and sold at your local Wal Mart.

I personally thilnk it makes Wal Mart look rather hypocritical, but that's just me.

They are only going to sell them where they will sell the best which is in the Midwest, south and certain areas of California I believe. At least that is what the last article I read said.

They won't be selling up in my neck of the woods because they'd be doing nothing but sitting on the shelf getting dusty.

Thats terrific. One of our Biblical mandates is to teach our kids about the Lord and maybe this will encourage more Biblical knowledge in the mainstream rather than ignorance.

I suppose with Hillary's run for the presidency, they feel the need to appear to have some redeeming qualities.
