I am interested in buying a firearm, especially a rifle like an AR-15 or something like that. I need a good store (in/near maryland) or website that sells weapons like that. Least cost is preferable, but I'll take anything.

EDIT: Just noticed... from previous posts you identify yourself as either a 13 or 14 year old. Federal and state law requires that you must be at least 18 years old to buy a long-arm (21 to buy a handgun). In most gun shops, if you are not at least 18 and can prove it, you will not get the time of day or be able to handle a firearm. /end edit.

Bound's hubby here:

A number of years ago, my buddy lived in Olney and there was a combination gun shop/hobby shop that he would frequent, but prices seems a little exorbitant. He would also frequent, on a more regular basis, the Bass Pro Shop outside of Baltimore. I am presuming that the Bass Pro Shops are much like the Cabela's which seem to have some excellent prices on new firearms. You have a few options available to you. Under current federal law you can usually purchase a long-arm in an adjacent state (this does not apply for handguns) or you can purchase in your state or if you have a favorite gun shop you can purchase on-line and pick it up at your gun shop once your local gun shop or gunsmith sends the company or the distributor a signed copy of their FFL. I have personally purchased guns in neighboring states in addition to my own state, and I have purchased collectable rifles from a place in Texas by phone and my local shop provided them with a copy of their FFL. Usually, to have a gun shipped to an FFL will result in a $15-20 processing fee by the FFL so they can make a profit. If I were you, I would check out the Bass Pro Shop near Baltimore or the Cabela's in Wheeling, West Virginia or Hamburg, PA whichever is closer. Be forewarned... you can not pickup a firearm banned by your state from an FFL. You must comply with the state law. As a footnote, as a competitor, I know a number of shooters that may or may not be a member of the maryland State Pistol and Rifle Association that possess and use AR-15s in service rifle competition.

Good luck.

Unless you are an FFL dealer, you must buy your guns from a walk-in store, period.(except for per-1898 antiques, which can be purchased by mail by any 18 yr old non-felon.)

Maryland had pretty restrictive gun laws. You sure they ALLOW AR-15's?

Did they stop making the Yellow Pages and just not tell me about it? Look it up in your local phone book.
