Poor Ev. Well, I'd say stop asking for someone to pray for something. I gather you should rethink your question, and then reword it without offending someone who doesn't have the same views as you.

Because they don't like you to ask others to pray.

You should ask the question again, only more specifically. It really depends on if you are going by Yahoo rules. And if you aren't breaking Yahoo rules then just ask again.

I don't see how asking for prayers is a violation. But I do think a special Q & A for prayer requests in the R & S section would solve this problem. Others have written about this before.

I don't know. I asked a question some time ago, where I requested good thoughts/wishes, prayers, and encouraging Bible verses. It was removed, and I received a violation for it...after it was resolved. I don't understand why anyone would report that, especially since it WASN'T just a prayer request, which can be considered spam, but also asking for Bible verses that are encouraging in nature. I thought sharing information and aspects of religion were what this section is for. Apparently I was wrong.

I think some people consider a prayer request to be beyond the scope of a question and answer forum. (I personally never had a problem with it, myself.)

I do have an issue with people evangelizing in here, though. That's not what Yahoo Answers is for.

I never report anyone, but I've been reported for saying I don't believe in god.

Because a prayer request isn't a question. To me, it's more like spam.

If you need prayer, I'm on it. God knows. He will deal with those people.
