I understand that sometimes God will step back to test our faith. But what do you do in those times? Wait,press in, turn away?

Wait and press in!!! While we wait, God always works and His timing is never late!

Psalm 27:14

14 Wait on the Lord;
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Wait, I say, on the Lord!

I remember when I felt so distant from God...I have been given all the cliche solutions: God is often close to, you purely would desire to desire, purely attain out to God, etc... in case you're like me, and you sound such as you're, you knew that anyone of that grew to become into genuine, yet you nevertheless felt distant. now and lower back, i found out that that feeling got here from not being enjoyed with the aid of others. Do you sense like some relationships are not somewhat wholesome? i could seem at changing those, the two with the aid of speaking or leaving. i visit desire for you.

Press in. I just came out of this. I think I step away more than God did.

You just keep talking to Him and thanking Him for His goodness and mercy, even if you don't feel like it. Ask for His forgiveness if its something you've done, said, or thought. I was probably depressed.

Just trust God. Eventually, you'll get back into the relationship. The best source of hope is God.

Blessings

There was a point in time in my life when I always felt that god is distant.
One day I visited a friend who is a Penticostal and she had a plaque on the wall with the name "Foot Prints in the Sand"
It was about a conversation a man had with the Lord. There were two sets of Foot Prints in the Sand one represented the man's life and the other represented the Lord and how he's walked beside the man in his troubled time.

There was a point in time when there was one set of foot prints and the man asked
"Lord why are there only one set on foot prints, i thouht you would never leave my side?"
and the Lord's reply was
"That's mine. Because when you had no strengt to walk again I carried you."

I always remember that story. Everytime i even have the slightest thought that God has forsaken me. That's the time I try to cling to him the most, having faith that he's still by my side,

First of all...why are you relying on "feelings" when Gods Word tells you that the just shall walk by FAITH? God has told you in His Word that He will never leave you...He is resident IN YOU and that He wants you to BELIEVE IT.

It doesnt say anything about "feeling it", but BELIEVING it ! Why? Because that is how God is operating today. He operates thru YOU believing what HE has said He has done.

Thats what walking by faith IS.

This business about God TESTING our faith is a churchianity thing ....and not necessarily true. LIFE tests our faith...and our faith must be placed in something that is RELIABLE. Gods WORD is reliable.

My advice to you is to STUDY Gods Word so that you understand what the FULL PICTURE is, and what program God is in today, so that you can cooperate with Him in it. Please email me at goinupru@yahoo.com if you would like some free study materials....or join us online for a live bible study on TUES/THURS at 7 PM at www.paltalk.com in the room called "Gods Will Made Clear".

NEVER turn away from God - He/She/It never turns from human beings. God does not 'test' us, we test ourselves through the choices we make - even when we know they are wrong for us and our spirituality. When you feel the distance, step closer! God is always found waiting for us in the light.
