Some are similar.

Jesus will use hands on healing or thought to cure.

Modern man and psychologist may use drugs and shock treatment.

There is a great difference in some cases.

The avoidance of narcotics (cannabis, coke, etc.), alcohol and other high and low pill poppers abstinence of these would be recommended by both I guess.

Jesus is the answer to man's sin problem. In the context of viewing a neurosis as an illness, and an illness as one form of human suffering , then do consider what happened when man willfully disobeyed and rebelled against God in the perfect paradise of the Garden of Eden (Gen. chap.3) as the beginning of all human suffering and death.

I think the more that is revealed about brain chemistry and the way all individuals are wired uniquely neurologically, that the best treatment for these so-call "neurosis" lie in medicine and not the traditional Freudian talk-therapy or psycho-analysis. These medicines are indeed a grace from the Almighty and merciful God the Father who is one with God the Son (Jesus Christ) and God the Holy Spirit.
