America doesnt have a Prime Minister or a privy council or a shadow cabinet. They're a REPUBLIC

Perhaps the most closely corresponding American political office to the British Prime Minister is the Speaker of the House of Representatives since that person is chosen by his or her political party. Since the last elections, Nancy Pelosi, a Democrat from San Francisco, California, has held that post. The Speaker and the President don't have to be from the same political party. The Speaker, however, does come from the majority party.

Of course, the President also fulfills some of the Prime Minister's functions as well. The current President, George W. Bush, is a Republican whose term of office is over at the end of 2008.

I have no idea what you mean by pm. If you mean political leader, as in Prime Minister, then we do not have a Prime Minister. We have a President and his name is George Bush. Otherwise, I do not know what you are referring to.
