Get the Civic. If you do decide to get the camaro, get a 2001 instead of a 2002. For some reason the 2002 camaro and corvette engines have horrible reliability. Take a look at consumer reports and jd power before you buy, every engine in the camaro and corvette for 2002 rated at "much worse then average" for reliability. You are kind of between a rock and a hard place though because the overall reliability every year for the camaro was poor anyways. The 2001 has an engine rating of "better then average" but receives a "much worse then average" ratting for drive system, exhaust, paint/trim, body integrity, power equipment and recieves a "worst then average" rating for transmission and brakes. The 2000 is even worse. The 2002 "only" receives a "much worse the average" rating for engine and drive system but then recieves a "worse then average" rating for brakes, exhaust, paint/trim, body integrity, power equipment, and electrical. So pick you poison. The 2006 honda civic however recieves the highest possible rating of "much better then average" in 13 out of 15 catagories and the 2 remaining catagories which are pain/trim and power equipment still receive a rating of "better then average" In fact, the honda civic has either "much better then average" or "better then average" ratings in every single catagory from the year 2000 till now. So if it was my money and my 16 year old girl, I would go with the honda civic without question. Also, check out the national auto reliability report that came out about 2 months ago. It was the one you heard on cnn and such. As far as overall reliability goes it rated Honda #1, Ford #2, and Toyota #3 (ford may have been #3 and toyota #2, I dont remember but Honda was deffinately #1 which is the relevant issue to your question). Honda (and Ford) where the only car manufacturers that did not have a single one of their cars receive a mark of below average. Chevy was ranked way down on the list, I dont remember exactly what number but it was like 8th or something.

Go to any of the online insurance quote sites and enter your info. You will be able to get an idea of what the best rate is after going through several sites. You will need to know a VIN number off of a model like the one you are looking at, or of the actual car.
I would suggest you set up a second Yahoo email and get it verified before you do this, as you can expect to be flooded with spam from the companies you visit and their affiliates.
IF you find one that fits your needs, you may be able to get a provisional approval for the policy, prior to buying the car.
Keep in mind that if you take out a loan for the car, you will have to have full coverage, and not just liability coverage. At your age, the cost of insurance will be as much or more than
almost any other expense.

Expensive go on an insurance website at a guess £1K
A 17 year old just past or about to sit his driving test is very bad news to an insurance company. Buy a smaller old banger and insure 3rd party for the first 12 months and then look again at car and insurance, when you have earned some no claims bonus (about 40%) .

just go on a few insurance web sites and get some quotes you will then have a rough idea on how much you insurance will be
just look on the roads for the car you want and take the registration of the car and use that to get a quote theres nothing wrong with it I've done it myself or just go to a car garage have a look round and take the registation of the car there

manny insurance company offer online and through-phone quotes that are obligation free. you would just need a valid VIN and ZIP code. if you are going to get a lease for the HONDA, your lienholder will require you to get Comp and Coll. And its really up to you how much deductible you are willing to pay but 500 is the average. And dont forget to ask for rental and tow service if you think you would be needing one as well.

In California it make cost lke $2000-$4000 for half a year or a whole year and it depends if you want to buy one way or two way. It cost this much because you are still a minor and you just got a new license.

For some reason, Hondas are a very high insurance rating. If you can get insurance for under £1000, you'll be doing well. Try http://confused.com/

And since we know nothing about you, like where you live, what your driving record is like, etc. etc., we don't know either. But if you contact an independent agent that represents several companies, and give him your information, he can tell you.
He can also give you advice on what vehicles are cheaper to insure for someone your age and experience if you ask.

The quote I got was $1808 per year. Insurance is very idividual so it may be different for you, as it is based alot on location
The best thing for you to do would be for you to go to http://www.auto-insurance-knowledge.com/24-hour-insurance-quote-auto.html here you can get an insurance quote that will compare all companies in your area and find you the company that will offer you the lowest rate
Hope that helps
