The same thing that they ate when they were on the ark. Until the vegetation dried out for the herbivores. The carnivores were sustained by milk from the cows and goats along with fruit I would imagine. Noah had made provisions for the flood.God I am sure made provisions for after the flood.I still sit in amazement every time I think about the story of Noah. By the way I also thank Noah allot for making God smile. Without his obedience and faith none of us would be here today.

What did they eat when they were ON the ark? LOL! The story of the Noah and the Great Flood is a biblical myth. It was based (by its author) on the "Epic of Gilgamesh", a story written long before the bible was. It was just a stolen story!
Think about it, based on the biblically reported dimensions of Noah's "big boat", there wasn't even room on it for a pair of each of all the species of beetles in the world, let alone anything else!

in noah's day maximum animal s have been nevertheless couped into kinds and had no longer cut up off into species ans sub spices. so there have been no longer that many. and God did have him deliver fodder for the animals because of the fact they did no longer consume one yet another till finally after the flood. keep in mind now that as quickly as noah sent out a dove it got here back with an olive branch in that's beak. whilst the ark settled on suitable of the Mountain noah stayed for particularly a whilst interior the ark waiting for the water to recede. so there became provisions for the people and animals too carry them over and time for flora to boost interior the recommend time. in fact guy became no longer given permition to consume meat till finally after the flood. yet there have been purely 8 people . the animals even conivors have been all herbivores till finally after the flood. God does no longer have preserved the animals if he had no plan in place for their survival after the flood.

They didn't leave the ark until after it landed 40 days. And things were growing--remember the dove brought an olive branch.
Noah was given animals to eat, too--although there was a food shortage.
Remember that Noah offered a sacrifice of all the clean animals--that pointed to the ultimate sacrifice of our Savior, the ultimately clean human.
There is a last-day Bible code that proves Jesus was literally our Sacrifice who abolished the sacrificial system. See: http://abiblecode.tripod.com
Shalom, peace in Jesus, Ben Yeshua

They had fish and sea weed also the dead animals laying on the ground. To answer the one lady they had windows they probably threw out the manure everyday.
That kept them busy.
I was thinking Jesus miraculously multiplied the food when he was on the earth. Couldn't he do that for Noah?
maybe that is why the animals starting eating meat. There was an abundance of dead animals. the birds had a feast.

The dove brought back an olive branch and the other birds kept going like they had somethng to eat.
After a flood the plants grow back pretty fast.
Also the sea is full of sea weed and it thrived on all the water and probably washed a shore.
The continients split apart and that would have caused the ocean to tidle wave across the land area. Bringing in tons of sea weed. Which is a good feed for animals. lots of protein and vitamins. Probably bringing in sea creatures like beached whales that the carnerous animals ate. I think there would have been lots of stuff to eat.
Ever been to Florida after a storm, from sea animals to sea weed the land is filled with stuff.

Clearly Noah had provisions on the ark to sustain them immediately after the flood. There was no doubt more then enough space on the ark. It was a massive cargo ship!

The Jewish mythology doesn't go into too much detail regarding such things.
It was supposedly understood that YHWH, who had gotten them that far would have continued to take care of them until the usual aspects of the world had been made aright by YHWH.
Mythology is fun!

Because there was not that much food to start out with. Only veggies and fruits in my opinion. Not enough amino acids for growing as tall as Goliath.
