I dont know Mormen's age. Generally speaking a horse is a colt until age four.

Are you asking if the Church of the Later Days Saints (The Mormons) is a cult? Then you should post this question in the Religion/Spirituality section of Yahoo Questions & Answers, NOT the hunting section.

If you still wish an answer here, all I can tell you is this: By definition a religion, in order to be a true Religion must be a system of worship revealed by God that Man may worship Him.

Example: God spoke to Moses from the Burning Bush (hence God revealed Himself to Man that Man may worship Him). Example: Jesus (being God in the Second Person of the Holy Trinity) said: Go and teach all nations... There have been three or four times in history when God has revealed Himself to Man and these are True Religions. Anything else is either a sect or a cult. A sect is when a religions group has branched off from the main group or 'protested' and formed its own Church. A 'cult' is something that is entirely man-made. Example: Some man comes forth proclaiming that he alone knows the Truth because it was revealed to him by reading the Bible (in other words, his own interpretation of Holy Scripture); or he may claim that someone (or 'something') other than God has revealed the Truth to him.

You should ask your mother-in-law how the Mormons came to be and then decide for yourself what you wish to believe about The Later Day Saints. Joseph Smith was their first prophet.

The only Colts we talk about in this section are revolvers or 1911 style auto-pistols in .45 acp. I think you mean cult. As far as your intended question goes; they are a recognized religion, same as yours. Lots of people I know say worse than that about the Baptist. I'm Jewish and I've NEVER understood all this in-fighting among Christians. Why don't you all just agree that you love G*d, and try to get along with each other.
