At least once a day is good. I'd get worried if I didn't go everyday.

It all depends on the person...doctors say it is "normal" to poop once a day but it depends on your schedule and how your body works. Some people go every day, twice a day, every 2-3 days. Whatever is normal for your body. But don't let it persist for more than 5 days otherwise you will get constipated. Stay away from laxatives, they are nasty and habit forming. Eat enough fibre and take a good fibre supplement like Benefibre and you should be fine :) If you have to use a laxative, use stool softeners like Colace. They are much gentler. Don't take them for more than a week, as any laxative are habit forming.

This really depends on the person. The question of normalcy comes from what is usual for that person. Some may only go once in two days, while another person may go twice a day. The best thing is consistency. Also, it depends on how much and what food you eat on that particular day.

Let's take the word "normal" out because it could mean many different things.
A person must poop (eliminate) at least once a day for the intestines and colon to remain healthy. If not, feces will accumulate in the bowels/intestines/colon and will continue to rot inside you until it is eliminated. Why is this bad? Because rotting feces releases toxins into the blood stream (by traveling through the intestine walls) which cause you to be ill. This "illness" may simply be tiredness, sluggish feelings, difficulty fighting off infection or disease, allergy-type symptoms, etc... Accumulated feces also hinders your body from absorbing the good nutrients out of the food. If you don't eliminate for several days, feces can harden can completely block the system which can lead to death if not removed by a doctor.
Get plenty of fiber (grains and prunes are great sources) and exercise to stay regular (poop "normally").

Some people only go every other day or every 2 days and some go daily or more often than that. Each person is different and it is not about how many times a day a person has a BM but more about making sure it is not a hard dry constipated stool.

a lot of human beings think of that ordinary skill having one bowel circulation on a daily basis, yet that isn't any longer continuously real. everybody is distinctive, and so are their bowels. universal for one individual could be 3 bowel strikes an afternoon, and universal for yet another could be 3 bowel strikes each and every week. in the journey that your bowel strikes extra wholesome someplace in that variety, then you definately're on a classic time table.
