John 5:19 Most truly I say to you, the son cannot do a single thing of his own initiative but only what he beholds the father doing.
If he was the father couldn't he do things of his own initiative?

True. Jesus never usurped the position of God. He readily admitted that the authority with which he spoke and acted did not originate with him. It was a delegated authority, for “the Father had given all things into his hands.” (John 13:3; compare Matthew 11:27; 28:18; John 3:35; 17:2.) Hence, Jesus declared: “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing; for whatever he does, that the Son does likewise.”

Also, at Matt. 24:36, Jesus said that the Father knew the "day and hour" but (Jesus) did not know. If Jesus the man were fully God like trinitarians claim, why didn't he know?

As Almighty God, no one can teach Him anything. He has the ability to know everything. Isa. 40:13, 14. Does the same apply to Jesus? NO! At John 8:28, Jesus said: "I do nothing of my own initiative; but just as the Father taught me I speak these things."

Don't expect trinity believers to see the logic of your argument. In the face of overwhelming proof that Jesus is NOT God, they will insist that he is God. For them 2 Cor. 4:4 applies: "among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through."

Jesus is God, but He is not the Father; nor is the Father Jesus. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are One God in three Persons, three Persons equaling one God. Big mystery, I know. :) Regarding the verse you quoted, Jesus wasn't sayng that He didn't have the power or the ability to do something apart from the Father. You see, Jesus came to do the Father's will, which was to reveal God to us and die on the cross as payment for our sins. Jesus was simply saying that He could nothing that didn't coincide with the Father's will for sending Him.
The Bible shows very clearly that there is only one God, and yet that there are three personal distinctions in His complex nature, traditionally referred to as "three Persons in the Godhead"—God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Each is distinct from the others but never acts independently. They are one in nature and purpose. This mystery is called the doctrine of the Trinity, though that term is not used in the Bible. The teaching, however, is present in seed form in the Old Testament and is revealed explicitly in the New Testament. Note passages such as Matthew 28:19; John 10:30, 14:26; 2 Corinthians 13:14.

Our finite minds cannot understand or explain this mystery of God, which is nevertheless a fact. We must accept the truths found in the Word of God by faith even though we ourselves cannot comprehend them fully; read Hebrews 11:1,3,6 and 1 Corinthians 2:5-10;14; 13:12. It is really not surprising that the infinite God should be complex in His nature beyond the ability of finite humans to comprehend! This doctrine is absolutely essential to New Testament Christianity. Theologians have pointed out that if it were not true, the Bible would be unreliable, Christ would not be divine, and His death on the cross would not atone for our sins, being merely the death of a martyr.

BINGO ! Your question makes perfect sense . The FACT is , there`s no such thing as a "trinity" . This mythical fairy tale was dreamed up by a Catholic pope centuries ago .

This elusive "trinity" is supposedly made up of God , Jesus , and the Holy Spirit . They are supposedly "separate" and yet "one" .

Ask a Catholic priest to explain the concept of a trinity to you in minute detail , including all specifics . You can even ask the pope himself ................ in either case all you`ll get is a totally vague , unintelligible , nonsensical explanation that varies with the one "explaining" it .

God and Jesus are two entirely separate entities ! They are not , and never were one and the same ............... period !

Can you imagine the the problems encountered in understanding the bible if they were actually one and the same ? How would have God resurrected Jesus if God WAS Jesus ? He`d be dead and unable to resurrect Himself !

Ask a priest to explain THAT to you in a way that makes sense !

According to the Bible there is more then one entity that created the universe.
Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth

We know of three. GOD The Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. They all work together so we call them the Trinity. They were all present at Jesus baptism. The trinity is a simple observation of basic biblical truth.

As far as John 5:19: you only present half the verse?

Jhn 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

To be honest none of that matters to me because as a follower of Jesus the ONLY things that matter are for me to love God as I understand God and to love everyone else the way Jesus would love them without reservation.

And I dont' mean some namby pamby kind of love as an idea. I mean love xpressed in the way I behave, the words I say, the confort I bring and the forgiveness I grant in my heart.

Not keeping love like a miser keeps his money but giving it freely to others knowing that the supply has no end.

I may never be able to do this as completely as Jesus did but that is what being a follower fo Jesus means to me.

Jesus is not the Father. Jesus is God, but in trinity He is only one of the Persons.

many people use the quote that Jesus said you seen me you seen the Father, he was saying that he was with Jehovah God for billions of years before he came to earth. who resurrected Jesus? you cannot resurrect yourself. who was he praying to? Jesus said he cannot do anything without the Father in heaven. when Jesus was on the stake, Jesus said Father forgive them. even the 12 disciples knew that Jesus was the son of the Most Holy Father Jehovah. allah is not another name for god.

There are 31 missapplied or mistranslated verses in the Bible used to support the trinity doctrine.
There are hundreds and hundreds of accurate verses, that show Jesus is a subordinate creature of God.

Verses like the following:
Joh 20:17 Jesus saith to her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended unto the Father: but go unto my brethren, and say to them, I ascend unto my Father and your Father, and my God and your God.
