Okay I am in ohio right near michigan and we are looking in michigan because the taxes and utilities are cheaper. Do I just need to transfer my drivers license and insurance or are there other things and do I have to take another test. I want to be prepared in case we find a house soon

First answer correct. They normally look to see your license are correct and may check you not have warrants, suspended license etc.
May need new plates for your vehicles, there is a time limit to change.
Any Bills you want to pay, credit cards etc. need the new address and always give the post office a forwarding, IF, you want/need.

drivers license & registration on your vehicle. I dont even think you have to change your insurance agent.
Best thing to do is visit the Michigan DMV
